Not sure what you're reading, but the blurb in the news sounds exactly like they're sweeping it under the carpet.

"Misinformation" is probably a better way of describing what is going on in that above paragraph. By the way it reads, it leads the reader to believe that they took down the games because of user complaints and that they're leaving the future of the chance games up the users themselves. I guess you need a decoder key: user = lawyers. The staff frequently likes to dance around issues by telling half-truths and spreading misinformation - yet they wonder why the majority of users no longer have respect for the company. The players of this game have evolved - they go off-site for their Neopets -related news and message boards and are more informed than they ever were in the past, yet TNT still treats us like mindless sheep. Why not tell the truth for once:

And what do you think would happen if they put this up on the newspage? The aussie parents/lawyers actually are a threat to neopets. What TNT wants to do now is work things out with them, be nice and make compromises. The very last thing they want to do is to smurf them off with a message like the one above. It would just mean they start an all out war and that would lead to a very angry group of people that would want to shut down Neopets completely. Maybe they don't have that power, but I can understand TNT doesn't want to risk it...

I'm glad they at least mentioned the problem with the games. It's better than nothing. I would think with the large number of users affected, that they would have to mention it, though.

Aw, the baby ruki is cute.
I was sort of hoping they would make the baby version a coccoon or an egg case (like praying mantis have) or something, (but I guess that would be really close to baby buzz, eh).
