TNTs fault if after 5 years they still haven't learnt what a glitch is and that you must actually test stuff before you release it, and that people know what the f5 key does.

No, I means you can't actually be accused of comitting a crime, just because in society committing a crime is actually possible.

Just because you can do something, doesn't mean you are allowed to do something.

Agreed. Exploiting a glitch is just as bad as TNT allowing a glitch to exist. Quite honestly, no one's perfect, there's going to be glitches. Period. That doesn't mean ANYONE should exploit them.

I'm sure that TNT is aware of what a glitch is, and they do test games before they're released. All software and databases contain glitches. That's why there are so many updates and upgrades. It is still against the regulations of almost all online gaming sites to take advantage of a glitch. If you don't believe me, read RuneScape's ToS.

yeah, people will steal a car if its owner leaves the window open. But if at the FACTORY, they make it and stick it outside with the window open and it gets nicked, whose fault is it?

The factory.
But that doesn't make it legal now, does it.

I've never said I was advocating abusing glitches now have I, I've just pointed out who's fault it was

And you honestly believe that you won't get arrested for stealing the car that the factory left outside with the window open?? Geesh, give me a break. You'd be laughed out of court, right into a jail cell...

I actually think it's both parties fault honestly. Think about it. TNT's fault for the glitch, though sometimes it can't be helped...and the person who abused the glitch's fault for actually abusing the glitch. No one's forcing anyone to break the rules...so you can't blame TNT for the rules being broken and the glitch being exploited.

I never heard of that Tutenstein Glitch, and I am HORRIBLE at the game.

o_o Or maybe there is a glitch with the freezing programs and you abused that by getting frozen. o_o

everyone abused the daily glitch

I beg to differ.

almost everyone abused that glitch, although im pretty sure you did unless your new

uh.. ive been on for three and a half years, and i didnt abuse the glitch

SierraRaven wrote:So, you got frozen for abusing the Tutenstein glitch the other day, right?? Geesh, I warned people over and over again on the Neo Boards not to give into their greed. And most of them said I didn't know what I was talking about, that TNT would never freeze over a glitch, ad nauseum.

Sorry about your account, but I don't have a whole lot of sympathy. You're a seasoned player -- I'm sure you knew in your gut that you were playing with fire. And now you're playing with ice.... (sorry, I couldn't help myself, lol!)

I doubt that you'll get your account back, especially if you made an obscene amount of NPs like a lot of people on the Boards were making that day. Make a new account, learn from your experience, and hang in there. ;)

oh i got called a selfish twit for warning people that it was a glitch...

i didn't even know about it, but i wouldn't have done it.

while i understand the annoyance at the fact that neopets punishes its users for mistakes they made themselves, it is CLEARLY stated that you should not abuse a glitch EVER. it makes the game uneven.

Please, presuming ignorance in everyone but yourself isn't a show of intellectual prowess. Which could be translated as "Duh"

I'm not saying "if you see a glitch, exploit it! its not your fault!" I think very few people could fail to see the stupidity in that.

The point I am arguing is that TNT, who dont actually have any deadlines that dont revolve around merchandise, can test-test-test-test anything they make before they put it onto the site. If you put something new up, you watch it - And if people are refreshing hundreds of times, you dont say "omigosh, teh oe noes" and wait three hours trying to fix it, you take that page down and fix it without letting anyone else get frozen. Its their responsibility to make things glitch free.

But I suppose now there will be cries of "BUT IT DOESNT MAKE IT RIGHT TO ABUSE A GLITCH!!11" from all over the land, so before there are, I'll say nice work sherlock, your ability to not read two posts and then reply to them is frighteningly good.

In conclusion - Don't abuse glitches. I never did, and never will.

it took me two days since i deposited 14mill and you can only withdraw nps 15times a day but i didnt keep pressing enter i withdreww 999999 twice evry couple of mins

I'm at a loss here. I thought you could withdraw any amount of np from the bank as you liked, so long you don't exceed your carrying limit of 100 mil? I just tried and I could withdraw 1.4 mil from the bank in one go.

Skullsplitter, I'm not going to engage in a flame war with you. I never presumed that you were ignorant, as you put it. I merely responded to your stolen car scenario. I DID read both your posts, and believe I made a valid point as to fault and consequences for the stolen car analogy. I'm sorry if I offended you, but your sarcastic response to me, personally, is not appreciated. :(
