back onto the topic of the thread.... the new toolbar. i've noticed one downside. if you just go to neopets.com (ie the first page i go to when i come onto neopets) it doesnt tell you about your events, has this always been the case when you've been logged in?

EDIT: i've just found another problem. this page was all squished up to the left:

and another one did the same, you knwo the one where you've played your move in the battledome and you're waiting for theirs...

Hmmm. I don't really have many complaints. I'm on high speed DSL, so I can't complain about slow loading. I use IE, so I have no problems there. My screen is 800 x 600, and there's just a small increase in scrolling amount, it's bearable.
The top banner doesn't even bother me. The fact that the bar curves around that far makes the whole page look much more complete, like a perfectly packaged gift. It's shiny too.
It would be nice for the Username/Active Pet (Quick Ref.)/NP info/links could be moved upward, as shown here:

i dont think that, i use my username and pet more than i do the search box... i am always clicking to get to my lookup, i use that rather than the shops to get to my guild or shop front.

I'm seeing a different toolbar than the one you're showing as "current". The small flash ad is now between the Search box and the Select Language box. I think a small space needs to be inserted between the flash ad and the Search box, however. Personally, I'm glad they moved our user names and pets up higher in the toolbar.

Yeah, the little ad is now below user info and the search bar which is great, but they need to add a few pizels of space between the search bar and the ad because they are touching and I don't like that.

They are still touching on mine, but the news icon has changed! Didnt even notice it til you posted!

I'm still for adding more events, like when someone buys something from your shop for example. A stock ticker somewhere on the bar would be interesting and handy for those who play the stock market.

Ummm I think I would have to say...I hate the idea of an event for when someone buys from your shop. I stock my shop with over 50 item nightly and I really don't want to know someone bought my 2k item. =/
Now, if it told for items that are 90k+....that's cool. Makes you know your HTS sold.
