I would judge it based on how much info they ask for -- especially considering they ask for all this info (as mentioned, enough to fill out a stolen account form) before they accept you or even tell you what they do. It all sounds very suspicious.

Eeek why didnt I think of that before, i signed up to it so I could actually see what it was like before coming to a conclusion about it. But i didnt use the same password that i use for neopets, or the same email address, so will my account be safe?

Did you put your main account or any of your accounts in the form?

Then if you judge it... Don't go? Simple no??

I just think it's a bit far fetched to go slagging something just because it has a cjb url or asks for your username.

If you don't like those questions. don't sign is all I'm saying.

It might be cool...but it still gives me the shivers. It just seems so...evil...

The CJB just means that it's a free site so anyone could sign up for an account and make a website. :D

Just reading the rules makes me think "Jeeze what a bunch of communists" o.o And their site is really badly designed, it may look cool but it's really hard on the eyes with the font size/colors (to me at least).</complain>

It would be far-fetched to "slag" something because it asked for your username or had a cjb url. But this site doesn't just do that -- it asks for your real name, age, gender, location, e-mail, Neopets screenname, most advanced pet, and the addresses of any galleries or websites you own. And that's before they tell you a single thing about who they are or what they do. If they deem you good enough (or good enough to scam, who knows), you "advance" to the second or third level of acceptance. You don't know anything about the club's members until you're fully in, and who knows what other info they require in stages two and three.

My main issue with it is that it sounds very much like a cult (I'm not saying it IS, because that's kind of silly, just that it sounds oddly like one and it's creepy). Take sentences like "please note that we require NOT your neopoints, but rather your devotion," "withdrawing after initiation will lead to blacklisting," "you may not discuss club activities with people outside the club," and "you may not correspond with blacklisted members." All cult language, don't you think?

And what's up with the "blacklisting" thing? Obviously if someone withdraws after initiation, they don't want to be in the club, so they wouldn't care if they were blacklisted, right? Does blacklisting therefore mean MORE than just "banned from the club"?

And really, I don't see why you have a problem with people discussing it. Obviously we don't like it and aren't going to join; we're just talking. It's mysterious and it's interesting. And it's not like any club members are going to get offended and come yell at us and start a board war; they're not allowed to talk about the club or even let on they're in it. ;)

Does it really say anywhere that the members can't say they're in it? It seems only their "council" or whatever is anonymous. Lol...maybe they wrote their rules too quickly and forgot to add it, haha.

Even if they can say they're in it, they aren't allowed to talk about who else is in it or anything the club does. Their final rule is something like "always use discretion," which I'd imagine is their cover-all rule; if a member does something they don't like, they can just point to that.

Hmm...so has anyone tried joining and recieved any kind of response?
