I would seriously advise people who are fans of defender trainer to not play the game at the moment.

Last month, I (Neo account - umbreon_of_the_moon), got a score of 748 legitimately from a slow-as-heck computer.

Why was I on a slow computer? Well, I wasn't, kinda...let me explain my situation.
----------------
About two and a half weeks ago, maybe around the 26th/27th/28th of September, my motherboard went bang. Now we're talking about uber-fast processor and all that stuff, I'm talking about the whole lot, it just...didn't want to work anymore.

As I do not have the cash to fork out to buy another uber-fast motherboard, processor, and the like, I put in an OLDER, SLOWER motherboard & processor. Unfortunately, this meant that flash games run exceedingly slowly, even if they're loaded on low quality.

Me, being the trophy freak I am (72 trophies - 51 gold - most unique gold in neopia), I thought I could use this slow computer to my advantage..that is to say, go for trophies. As it says NOTHING IN THE RULES on neopets about having a slow computer (and I did check them before I played), I decided to go for a gold defender trophy score. I got that with a score of 748 at the end of last month.

Moving forward a couple of days, still unfrozen, I did a challenge for another member of the Defender Trainer high score table (he's in the trophies, but for confidentiality's sake, coz I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post other people's IDs here, I'll just say 'him'), he got a high score, and I got into 1st place, with a score of 738. Still not frozen. This was a 10,000NP defender trainer challenge btw.

Now, yesterday, I take a defender trainer challenge from the challenge arena. I play it, get a score of 724 - Note that this is WAY lower than the other two scores which were declared legitimate and valid. I try to send it, and it came up with that "The server cannot currently accept your score at this time" bug... or whatever it says, I forget the exact text. People who've had this come up will know.

Anyways, I go back to refresh the defender trainer page to see if I won the challenge or if the score did send, and I see myself logged out.

I go to try and login, and it says I had been frozen for cheating at flash games.

So I ask this, if my score of 748 & 738 were declared legitimate, why in Neopia did I get frozen for a score of 724?! Which was LEGITIMATE, without cheating, and all that stuff. The only thing I possibly did wrong was play on a slow computer, and that was beyond my control with money problems. So tell me something, am I not supposed to play flash games until I can afford the huge price over here for base computer motherboards and processors?
Would YOU not play flash games until you could afford it?!

I think there's been an autobot unfair freezing here...

If anyone can help me or advise me, or whatever, contact me on yahoo messenger (dwaggie_dragonite).

Or post here...either way, I've been on neopets for over 45 months, got 72 trophies + 6 others (above game trophies), and 147 avatars. Would i have risked all that to get a gold trophy score in a GAME THAT I ALREADY HAVE THE GOLD TROPHY IN?!

*sigh* Can anyone give me any advice at all?

Ohh  Sorry. I'm sure you'll get unfrozen. I've heard stories about people doing things wrong on purpose that got unfrozen. I'm not sure how they did it though. Maybe a google search will help you out.

Nevermind me, I'm all right.

My honest advice to you would be to send a snail mail to Neopets Headquarters explaining what had happened with your computer. I'm sure you'll be unfrozen soon. Just keep hanging in there!

<STOWA|Sleep> my sister questioned the title. "Half Blooded Prince? Does that mean he's a Moogle"

Fill out a "contact us" form first, and tell them what you just told us. Follow up directly with whoever sends you the automated response. If, after a couple of months (patience is a requirement here), you don't get unfrozen, send a snail-mail. The neopets mailing address is posted often, or you can look it up at http://whois.sc/neopets.com. Just put "Support" at the top of the address line.

Remember to stay calm and collected. Make a good argument, and good luck.

It is possible that neopets check the average framerate of the flash games -- if it's way off [too many times], you might be frozen. Completely evil, but possible. This could also explain why your first two scores were declared legitimate -- your computer was just a bit slower during the third game.

Email them. :)

I don't know if this is related, but people use a program that 'kills' the CPU ( I think) aka a processor, Which is used to slow the speed of the computer and the games...
Well, since its considered a cheat program, they may think that because of the speed of your computer, youre using one... How they could figure that, I don't know... I'm just guessing.

Best advice is to contact them, and explain it all... I hope the best for you.

Hey, Dwaggie, welcome to PPT!

It's obviously a problem with Neo's "cheater-catchers"--probably their settings are too high. Similar things happened in June 2003 to tons of people and also prior to that with people who played Volcano Run.

Email William--it worked two weeks ago. I am hoping that it works again.

Oh, and by the way, just call me games. ;)

It's better if you snail mail them, they pay more attention to you that way, because you were wrongfully frozen. You can just explain to them that there was an understanding, and that what you did isn't against the rules, becuase it doesn't say so in the terms and conditions...
I hope your accouint will be unfrozen, good luck! :)

I had a whack-a-kass score snubbed (taken; not awarded and not posted) because I got it on an uber-slow computer. I did not get frozen, however.

Well I've mailed, but noone has even mailed back three days after.
If anyone can do anything to get me unfrozen...please do so...

I've got nothing to do online without neopets

So sorry to hear that, I admire your collection of trophies and scores. I think the randomly freeze all scores that are too high.

i, nor anyone i know well, has ever had much luck with unfreezing. you might though, i didn't have any staff emails, just the silly form, and its so long ago they won't look into it..

in the mean time, i'ld suggest creating a new account just in case you don't get it back, i'm a born pessimist, so i always look on the dark side, but while you are waiting for your account to be restored to you, at least you can practise :)

and supports been very slow lately, its been a month and i still haven't had any luck with my missing avatar.

If you see my sanity, get it to give me a call.

It couldn't be just that, because umbreon reached a higher score before without being frozen.

It really sounds like a bot. I can understand the idea of the frame-rate counter to catch cheaters, but it's totally unfair to freeze someone who simply is on a slow computer. We aren't all rich enough to afford the newest, fastest pc's!
