Naa... I probably won't complain. I've got bored of complaining T_T
Can't go on neo much anymore anyway. And it's not fun since I can't battle anymore. Seems to be taking ages to train. Was better with all the BD equip and stats I did have.

You dont get frozen for saying ebay. If you do then write to us and we'll unfreeze you. Simply talking about that auction site is not against the rules.

You get frozen for selling neopoints or virtual items on eBay and/or advertising that on Neopets...

Adam

I did write. Many times. But to no avail. I've got sick of writing. So I gave up, made a new account and now I don't go on as much. It's just no fun anymore. Since I was a model neopian for a while (Sure I slipped up a few times. But the ebay thing was crazy!)

I was told the last two warnings I got were infact for the "ebay" in my neomails and posts.

I know that everconfused got a warning after saying ebay in her guild around the time that the Neopets plushies were being given out at McD's. I also remember either her or someone else (maybe Val?) mentioning that a guild member had been frozen for saying the word around that same time.

Borovan, if you are indeed the infamous Adam, a FAQ sheet of all of the do's and don't of Neopets would be quite nice--to cover all of the grey, hazy stuff for which there are no clear answers and nothing in writing.

EDIT: Oops. wrote that while you were posting. Virtual Metal. So, it was you who was frozen for saying it. I do know that evercofused got a warning for it--see, Borovan, another inconsistency right here. How come one person gets a warning but the other one gets frozen? In other words, a FAQ sheet would be so helpful--not just for us, but as a reference guide for those folks at Neopets who are actually issuing the warnings and freezings.

Tested made this fabulous set for me!!! Isn't it great?

Couldn't agree more, morningstar - we really, really, really need a clear list. Someone was advertising an avatar service on a guild board the other day, offering to get avatars for other people, and I struggled to find a piece of the T&C to quote at him so he knew it was outlawed.
Similarly I came across a girl using a NP generator and I couldn't find anything at all in the rules about them being illegal.
As well as the obvious stuff like that, we also need the hazier things cleared up - whether we can gain trophies (Pyramids and Cellblock for instance - not highscore trophies) on secondary accounts, whether we can vote for beauty contest entries from multiple accounts, which words we can't say (I mean the damn/ebay type ones - I don't think anyone needs or wants a list of swear words ;))... and so on.

I do know you are not allowed to say the word 'flannel' on Neopets. Don't even try it... you'll be frozen immediately.

Well the whole saying ebay issue and things like that to be honest adam.

Since when I questioned the first warning I got regarding "posting off site urls" I was told in an email by a staff member that it was me saying in a neomail:

"Yeah you can by a guitar off ebay. You don't need a credit card!"

She said it was the "ebay" reference. But then I think I said it again on a board something like "I be going, ebay time!" Then my board got deleted and I went pooof!

A lot of the confusion is around what is and isn't allowed with multiple accounts. A bullet pointed list of offences and consequences would be great.

Also, someone I know is claiming that he was frozen for having a slow computer, since it enabled him to get higher game scores. Is that possible? I suspect he was using a program.

Well. The hard version of meerca chase goes incredibly slow on my laptop. Because it's a crappy slow one I use for work. I guess it could get me a better score.

But I never tried, since it's so annoyingly slow. But I can see it's advantages and dissadvantages seeing as if it was my only computer I'd be buggerd. Or I'd have to only send low scores... Or something...

I think Adam's left us! Lol but if at all possible, could some of your staff have a bit of a think tank and come up with an all-new rules list, clearly stating what isn't allowed and what it'll get you (ie a warning or a freezing). That would help the newbies and the old-hands alike - we've been hankering after one for ages :/

Also - someone needs to stop the Kadoaties asking for Blue Draik Eggs. It's clearly not random chance. They always ask for blue ones and currently five (of 16 total) Kadoaties are asking for them. Not only are they asking for more eggs than the site gives out, but people feeding draik eggs to kadoaties are making it way harder for people to get Draik pets as well. Please fix that!! :D Thanks.

OK, Borovan, you don't know the can of worms you just opened.

There are many, many unanswered questions. For example, if you buy from a shop having a 1 np sale, can you be frozen (such as the sale that went on in v team's shop a while back after a scammer took it over)? Can an account be shared by more than one person (such as a parent and child)? Can you submit one of your accounts for gallery spotlight, even if it isn't your main account, as long as you don't submit any other of your accounts? What exactly does "earn neopoints" mean?--In other words, I know you aren't allowed to restock on a side account, but are you allowed to resell on a side account? Are you allowed to give gifts away on the chats (in other words, a spontaneous act of giving without any strings attached--not the same thing as a "giveaway"). If a person is allowed to have a gallery and side accounts, what are the legal ways that they can move nps to those accounts--in other words, is it OK to send things to side accounts, or buy from the side account's shop, or move things via the auctions or the TP? Why couldn't I say the word "40+" in a neomail without being blocked by a filter--I was referring to my age. And why couldn't I say the word "yin" (as in yin and yang) while on my guild board?

And, hey, I have just scratched the surface here. I know that I will think of many more questions, as will my compadres here on PPT.

It is frustrating as heck to look and look and look for answers to your questions--perhaps they are stuck away in a news page from 2 years back or on the wall of shame or in a Neopian Editorial. Or perhaps, there is conflicting info out there--one area of Neopets says one thing while another area says something different. And, believe me, a lot of us have written to the staff for answers. Many of us, like myself, never got an answer. Others got conflicting answers or answers that were basically "I think it is OK" or "you probably could do that."

So, it would be so very nice if all of it were in black and white in one specific place on Neopets. Most internet sites have FAQ's--and they are extremely helpful.

And, I will bet that most of the players on Neopets would bend over backwards to try to obey the rules--they don't want to jeopardize their accounts by doing something that is against the rules.

And, as I said before, if all of the rules are in black and white, it might be easier for your staff members to determine what action warrants a warning and what action warrants a freezing--and what action is perfectly legit--instead of making up rules to suit the situation--as often appears to be the case. For example, two of my guild members recently quit their accounts after getting warnings--they were shaking in their boots just from the warnings. They moved valuables to a side account, said goodbye to precious pets, and then self-froze the account that had gotten the warning. One got a warning for over-reporting, yet she hadn't been on her account in weeks. The other got several warnings--all because she told someone on the chats the the price of their petpet was way too high.

I will consult with a few other PPTers and some of my guild members, make you up a list of unanswered questions, and PM it to you, OK? And, hey, thanks for taking the time to listen.

Maybe if you listed all the doubtful/gray areas of Neopets rules in an orderly, numbered manner, Adam would be more inclined to read through them and answer them accordingly.
