From the Editorial in the new NT:

Quote:
You could try looking on an auction site like E-bay for some of the more hard to get Neopets things.

:o

They froze one of our members for saying eBay. They frequently freeze and warn for saying it. And yet Donna actively recommends going there and refers to the site by name.

I'm not usually a "TNT are evil blah blah conspiracy theories" type person but I did think that was particularly irritating in its hypocrisy :/

That really gets my goat--it's like the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing.

I guess now if you are frozen for saying ebay, you at least can bring up a good argument in your defense--if Donna can say it, then shouldn't everyone else be allowed to say it, too?

Gah, it's the arbitrariness of this game that kills me!

Tested made this fabulous set for me!!! Isn't it great?

You dont get frozen for saying ebay. If you do then write to us and we'll unfreeze you. Simply talking about that auction site is not against the rules.

You get frozen for selling neopoints or virtual items on eBay and/or advertising that on Neopets...

One of our members was frozen for that - and I've heard of several people who've been warned for posting the word eBay.

It's good to see you back Adam - nice to know TNT are listening to our concerns :) Also off topic - xylophone man died! :o

I thought Adam's name on here was just Borovan... o_o

I just don't get the hypocritical actions. But then again, this oes once again back to the cussing "do as I say not as I do" argument that could go on forever.

It was Borovan, but the PPT forum has moved since then and everyone has had to re-register. Adam probably found that someone had snagged borovan on the new forum, so used a random number on the end (hidden tower stylee!!).

I would like to add that it's really not easy to get unfrozen, in fact it's an ordeal just getting a response :( I had to email every day for over a month before I got a reply about my frozen account and by the time I answered the reply, that staff member had left Neopets :/

Don't mind me since I'm naturally skeptical. I agree that it really is not that easy to get unfrozen. It's all a matter of luck. It almost seems like they need to bring back some of the neoboards volunteers and things, just so they actually RESEARCH reports and things like that since it has been admitted in the past that they don't always research a report that has been made against a user.

Yeah, tis true. I'm unfrozen now thankfully but there are still a bunch of unresolved issues that I can't get an answer on - so I've given up and taken a loss of quite a bit of really precious stuff :/

Anyway! Not going to turn this into a whine board about that stuff - I wish the person who was frozen for saying "eBay" were here - anyone remember her username?

Edit:

Yeah he ruled :( He had a heart attack. There was an enormous campaign to get a tram (I know, I know) named after him but Nottingham City Council refused.

Guess what they named the tram after? Wait for it...

All he did was rob a bunch of people. Xylophone man brought great music to thousands of people daily!

Exactly!! I couldn't agree more :/

Here's the article about his death: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/nott ... 871021.stm

Good luck!! :D Also just a word of warning: don't email TNT from Gmail. I tried for ages about my frozen account and thought I was being ignored but it turned out that the messages weren't getting through. Sadly it's not a good service to use if you want to hear from TNT :/

Edit: Pimboli, it's the same thing - one of the faeries (I think) says "damn" in Neoquest. No disrespect Adam, but the site can be so unfair sometimes :/
