It's alright. No harm done.

dogfriend2 wrote:everconfused, there are a lot of people around who know Neopets rules very well. If you or anyone else has a specific question, post it here at PPT forums and hopefully you will get an answer.

That's the problem. Many people do know the rules very well but rarely any of them visit the PPT Forums. Whenever someone is frozen there is simply speculation on why the person was frozen and sometimes there is an answer.

I feel very uneasy to keep asking questions on the PPT Forum to see if I would get warned or not. It would clutter up the Forums.

Ammer, most questions are black and white...meaning easy to answer. Some are a bit more difficult. If people want to ask here at the forum, feel free. I am sure I don't have all the answers but I will answer what I can. I also chat with some very knowledgable people daily so I expect i can post an answer to just about any question.

Don't worry about it, home slice. That's why we've got a help board and the mods have the padlocks.

Contrary to what you might have heard, TNT doesn't favor any player over another. I will not get too specific because of peoples privacy but that includes featheralley, Jasmine as well.

When I said I wa sskeptical of it, I meant that I didnt beleive it. I mean surely TNT would be more mature then that. Sometimes I think they are robots under all that "Skin"...

I just got frozen. Yup. I am really sad. All of my accounts, but not my sisters luckily. I am distressed right now :(

However, some people have used the words from those 2 places on the site and have gotten warnings. And are confused by the warning. It has a very "Do as I say, Not as I do" flavor to it.

Ah yes. The good ol d-word controversy.

Speaking of which, I had the dubious pleasure of watching someone get iced in avatar chat for saying the word "hell" a few times yesterday afternoon. O_o

And yeah, that's one Neo used themselves before. Just like the d-word.

Proof in the puddin':

I can see where some people object to the d-word and h-word...they are indeed strong words, but I dunno if they are *that* bad. You hear worse on daytime TV these days.

In general though, my stand on this topic is where it always has been. I still think it would be both in TNT's best intrest (and the players) to make an official FAQ for the site. Tell them what they can and can't do. Can they have custom shields? Can they play games on a spare account? Why can't they say ebay? Are guild contests allowed? What about giving something away?

All these problems could be settled with a simple FAQ page. If they don't know the "official stance" on some subjects, 10 minutes in the boardroom for a staff meeting should be all it takes. Heck, if they want, I'll even offer to write it and code it for them if they felt they didn't have time. -_-

BOTTOM LINE=NEOPETS NEEDS A UPDATED FAQ. SARAH THE HELPFUL ZAFARA DON'T CUT IT.

Couldn't said it better myself, Val. Why doesn't TNT have the FAQ page? So, they don't have to justify the erroenous freezings that they do? So, they can cover over their mistakes by claiming the site is "free?"

I know of many, many unwritten "rules"---that I have asked staff over and over and over for clarification. As has everconfused and countless other PPTers. And, still no response. How about 1 np sales? If you unknowingly buy from them, will you be frozen? How about reselling on a secondary account? How about applying for gallery spotlight when the gallery isn't your main account? What exactly does "earning neopoints" mean? Why couldn't I write "40+" in a neomail?

Why can't we have a FAQ about these and all other questions we have? Along with Val, I would be more than glad to help write, edit and code it for Neopets.

My guess is that Neopets doesn't want a FAQ because then we could actually call them on their unfair freezings. If nothing is in writing except a vague statement about being unable to "earn neopoints" on more than one account, then they can do just about whatever they darned well please. If the stuff is actually written out in black and white, they might actually have to consult the real rules before making up their own versions.

Hopefully a TNT staff member will see this and answer your questions. I am honestly to the point of not answering questions because many people seem to want to argue rather than listen to the answers. Furthermore, I don't want to have to jump from board to board answering questions about Neopets rules. There are answers to ALL the questions you have posted here. Good luck!

Perhaps there are, but they are not in writing anywhere on the site. That is, I believe, the point that Val and I and several others are trying to make.

Unfortunately the neopets staff do not often come onto these boards to answer our specific questions, and many neomails to them, are ignored as I personally have found out; even when the tone is pleasant and not insulting.
However, knowledge often comes from arguments, as done understanding. PPT is a place where we don't have to fear being iced or warned by the neopets staff if we choose to argue about the rules. As long as everything is done pleasantly, no harm should come of what is said on these boards.
However, I feel that enough has been said on this thread, to lock it. Most obviously at the moment the views will not change, and I would prefer to not see further flames coming from members of PPT.
