Broken Poem (My poem)

Well, i've finally decided to start submitting my poetry, even though I'm kind of new at it. :oops:

Here's my latest. (I wrote it at about 1:30 A.M last night.

Broken Poem
Like pieces of a broken poem
my life falls down around me
Wishing I could find a home
where loving ones surround me

Trying to read the faded words
from the pages of a dusty tome
Shards pierce the hearts of flying birds
from pieces of a broken poem

I really liked the visualization your poem created. I think thats one of the prime ideas of creating poetry, to not only allow the person to read the poem, but to invigorate all the senses('cept maybe smell

) and allow for the creation of a scene rather than just a few lines. You really did well with this poem, I think it could be longer, but regardless, it's awesome
