Who do you think is a better singer?
Mercury - A real showman (even though he did die a wierd way to some people).
Joplin - A unique style of female vocals (we could have heard more of her stuff though because she died).

It would be 50/50 for me.

I've only heard of Janis Joplin, but I haven't heard any music from them before so I really don't know.

Freddie is from Queen so I'm sure you've heard some of they're stuff.

How can't you not know Queen. Queen had great songs like "We Will Rock You", "Another One Bites the Dust" and "We Are the Champions"

I've heard of them, but I've never listened to their original music, just covers from artists of recent.

I think Freddie Mercury was a better singer. I think it's a little odd comparing them. o_O

I was never a huge fan of Janis Joplin, but she had a very unique voice. It seemed to be a nice change from what was coming out at the time. However, I have always adored Queen. In high school I had a friend that was obsessed with Freddie Mercury and all things Queen related. I think my love for the band grew from being forced to listen to Queen constantly for the entire two years that I knew the aforementioned girl.

Hmm...I don't know.

I think they were both talented singers (even if some songs didn't show it...), but I'll have to go for Freddie 'cause I love him :D

I would say Freddie Mercury is the better singer.

I'll go with Janis. I would of said I didn't know who Freddy Mercury was, but then when you mentioned 'We are the Champions' and 'We Will Rock You' were done by Queen, which he sings in, it was Janis all the way. Say I have bad taste in music, but I never was fond of those songs.
