Judges, you know the routine. Except for the fact that you must choose 3 people to go this round. :)

Optimus- Dear god, that's cute. It looks nice, but I really think you could of worked a bit harder. However, I don't see any problems besides simplicity. Good job colorizing the nose- it looks pretty natural. I like the font for 'Meow' and the colors of it. The image placement is marvellous. However, I have a small problem with the text box placement. The paws on the cat jut into the text box, which means that if you were actually to code and use the blog, the text would have to put a bit far down into the box. It's not a major problem, but I still think it is a problem. I would suggest tucking the paws in behind the text part, so they wouldn't stand out so much. But, I admit I'm picky, and maybe it would look beautiful to everyone else. All in all, I really like it. But, it's a bit too simple.

Bluehawaii19- AWESOME job. The blending is awesomely well done- at first, I thought it was three seperate people. The colorizing is beautiful and smooth. I love the colors you used. The font for 'welcome to my shop' goes very nicely with the theme of the set. I also like how you made the text partially transparent. The text box is very nicely placed as well. All in all, I see absolutely no problems. Wonderful job! Keep up the good work!

Neopets Addict- Nice, but way too simple for this part of the competition. There is way too much empty space in the graphic. It doesn't look like you've done much with it- maybe a few brush strokes, but that appears to be it. I also dislike the stars behind the text box- they're too distracting. However, the font used for 'welcome' does go quite well with the partial-elegance feel of the set. And I also like the scanlines. But one more problem- again, the image juts into the text box. I think it wouldn't look too well with the text down that far. Again, I suggest tucking the legs behind the text box so they won't stand out so much, and using a thick black font to make everything readable. :)

Apricus- I don't think blogs are your strong point. Your blog looks very, very simple. I think you used a few effects, added a text box and some text, and then just left it. I don't really like the pixellation effect you used. It took me a few minutes to figure out what the image actually was. However, I really like the text effect you used. The font choice was superb- something with the word 'calm' in it should use a plain font, not something like Jokerman. I also love the partial transparency on the text. It goes really well and is quite readable. All in all, I like some parts of it... but then I don't like other parts of it. Does that make sense?

Neko- Bee-yoot-ee-ful. I love the smooth colorization on the flowers. I also really like the sparkly stars in the background- the color matches perfectly, and for some reason I just love the plain black background. I really like the font used for the main text (too lazy to go back and copy it down. xD) and the colors used for it. I really like the text box placement and colors as well. The only thing I don't absolutely love is the amount of empty space in the blog. But other than that, love it. :)

Chii- Oh my god. That's beautiful. First off, I sincerely hope you still have your first entry that didn't fit the requirements. It was lovely, even if not for this competition. Second off, I love this blog. The bit of text in the background of the flower is awesome! I also love the fonts you used on both the background text and main text. I love the glow around the main font! The text box placement is nice, as are the colors of it. I see no problems at all. :)

Paola- Ooh, turn down the saturation a bit. The colors are way too vivid. However, I like the grids and swirls and whatever else you have there in the background. I really like the text posistion- it seems like that text was made for that part of the blog. I also love the fonts and colors you used. All in all, really, the only problem that I see is that the saturation is way too vivid. :)

3 people this round?! Ack.

Well... then, I guess I'll go with Optimus, Neopets Addict, and Apricus.

Weee! Blogs! I was waiting for this round. =)

Optimus -- Is the cat's right ear supposed to be cut off? I realize that it's positioned back like its left one, but it still looks earless... kind of creepy. I maybe would have reconstructed just a bit of the ear to make sure that it looks like ithas one.The kitty's cute though. The blue looks good. I'm surprised it worked so well. Good job. The swirls are a bit generic though. I knew we'd see at least one blog with swirls.

Bluehawaii19 -- Good job with the hue/saturation, even it if is edging on the "No red" rule. Your blending job is decent. The blog area is a tad too small... it kind of throws off the balance of the whole thing. Plus the vertical text irks me. It's hard for one's eyes to follow. There doesn't seem to be a space between "my" and "shop".

Neopets Addict -- The image and text placement is good, and I'll give you props for the blog size... but overall, it's way too plain. Again, here are the generic swirls. I would have liked to see more colors, and if you were to use those brushes, a larger spread of them. Try the scattering and angle jitter when using brushes to give it a variety of prints.

Apricus -- Oohhhh! Pretty! But the original image isn't of great quality, so I can see the results of that in the blog. Other than that, the effects you used are great! The way you tinted the image is fantastic; I really prefer the darker colors to the original image. It's gorgeous. The only other issue is that the blog area is too small. I think you could have stretched it over to the right more, closer to the light house, and it still would have looked just as good.

Neko -- Wee! I love it!! I love the blue tint you gave the flowers; it looks really awesome. The rest of the blog is really plain though. I wish you had added the stars and flares behind the blog area as well. Once again, the blog area is too small. I know you didn't want to cut off part of the flower, but maybe you could have moved it to the left (so that it's even with the space from the bottom) and stretched it to the right... perhaps even duplicating the flower and putting that as a layer on top of the blog, if you really didn't want to cut it off that much.

Chii -- I liked your other one a lot more, even though it didn't meet the requirements. The text over the flower is nice... but the leaf on the left is cut off. Perhaps you could have blurred it out or reconstructed the tip. The background is also really plain. If you had used some brushes on it, you may not have had to bother with the tip of the leaf, as they would have covered it. As with some of the others, the blog area isn't big enough. I have a big thing with making the blog the equidistant from the sides, so you could have stretched it not only to the right but also more toward the bottom. If you were to make it wider, I would have selected a different color for the fill, since the green definitely would have made the flower look nasty.

Paola -- The dreamy effect is great! The saturation is really vivid, but it's not that big of a problem. Perhaps just tone it down a tad next time. The grid/swirls are a bit generic, but they don't take away from the image or anything. The only issue I have is that although the blog area is a decent size, you probably could have made it wider to balance out the really wide text. Other than that, I love it! Props to you.

This round, I'm going to have to give my votes to Bluehawaii19, Neopets Addict, and Chii.

Eh, I should apologize for not making an entry, I was having an issue in real life and just didn't feel up to making anything. But good luck to everybody still in the competition. ^_^ (I'm assuming that since I didn't make a blog I basically removed myself, correct?)

Apricus: I like the purple tinting, it really adds to the air of calm. I quite like the mosaic tile overlay, but I don't like how it's offset, I think it would have looked just as nice (and cleaner) if you'd reduced the Wind intensity by a bit. The blog area looks a little bit cramped, think you could have made the box taller, there's not a lot going on in the rocks, so it wouldn't hurt to cover them a bit. 9/10
bluehawaii19: Hn. When you're compositing images, they really need to have uniform lighting, or else it's unconvincing. The area to the right is MUCH darker than the rest, it's pretty obvious. The other real problem I have is with the blog area. Normally there would be text there, and the background you have has too many varying colors for the text to be readable. 7/10
Chii: It's very plain. At first I thought you just took the black backdrop from the picture and extended it. Actually now that I look more carefully, it seems like you did a rather sloppy extracting job and dropped the flower onto a pure black background. I really dislike the text overlay on the flower, it makes it look rather old and dirty. The colors also don't match. There's no matching shade of green for the fill area of the blog, or the outer glow on the text. 6/10
Neko: It's very pretty, but I'm not too fond of that bright cyan. I also don't really like all the blank black space, the stars seem to frame it more than fill it. 8/10
Neopets Addict: Pah, simple is GOOD! I think this is my favorite blog in this round, it's very light and fun. I think the white text is a little bit shocking, Photoshop allows for inner and centered strokes; it would tone down the white to use them. The thing I don't like about this blog is all the empty space in the top right corner, the swirls are really too faint to fill it up. 9/10
Optimus: Um, okay, I think that kitten is CREEPY. Not a bad job extracting it, looks quite good. I don't know if PSP has an Extract filter like Photoshop, but if it does (or if you can try out Photoshop), you should check it out, it's very good for tricky edges like hair. Once again, the blank space in the top left is annoying me, faded swirls don't fill space very well. 8/10
paola: Oooh, pretty! I don't really see a saturation problem at all, the original image was a little bit washed out, I think you just adjusted it back to normal. What I don't like, though, is the banding/posterization. I don't know if you did it on purpose, but it's really bad in the water and sky. I also think I should congratulate you, you're the only person in this round who used any transparency. 8/10

This round I vote out bluehawaii19, Chii, and Optimus.

I didn't do it on purpose. It's saved as a .gif. I wanted to save it as a PNG, but it didn't work. Now that I think about it, it's probably my browser because it looks perfectly fine in Mozilla. Too bad I didn't think of that before :P

Sorry. These are going to have to be sorta quick ratings because I don't have much time.

Optimus
Freaky kitty, but I like it. Good job extracting it. The gradients border around the text box looks a little weird with the bright blue, but overall, fine. I think you just maybe need something to fill the top left corner.

bluehawaii19
Eh, not bad. But I don't like the blending of all the image. The background from the image on the left doesn't go well with the rest of it. Also, there's too many different colored shades for you to probably be able to put text in there.

Neopets Addict
Simple, cute. Looks like something Neopets would put on their website. Fill the top right corner.

Apricus
A little to plain looking, but fine. I think there might be some overlay, but I can't tell because my monitor is making this look screwy.

Neko
Pretty. I don't like the stars in the background, I'd maybe enlarge the text a little bit. I'd also maybe make the text box a different shade of blue.

Chii
I don't like the writing inside the flowers. The text sort of doesn't go. The background is a little too empty, and I'd have maybe made the textbox yellow.

paola
Beautiful. I love how you've made the image so vibrant. Love the cutouts around the text. I'm thinking it might be a problem to put text in the textbox though because of all the different colors in it.

Chii, Neopets Addict, bluehawaii19.

Chii, Neopets Addict, and bluehawaii19 cannot participate in this round.

And might I add that this will be the final round of PPTTG 3. :)

Requirement
Make a set.

Simple enough requirement, right? Work your hardest this round everyone. Because this round will decide who wins. ;)

I'm done. Took forever to resize, cut and shape the original pic to get the border. Anyways, here's my entry:
