It will be up all day, just wait until morning and we'll go through this all over again. :P

Think about all the new people who went to Neopets site because of McDonald's. Not only did they have to wait 20 minutes for cold fries, they get to come to Neopets and wait 5 minutes for a page to load for a glitch to take away their NPs!!!

I wouldn't be surprised it Neopets looses sponsors because of all the down times and glitches.

That was my thought exactly. My guess is the head honchos from McD's will be making a phone call or two to the Neopets offices today.

Would be funny, in a sad sort of way, if the whole McDonald's giveaway blew up in their faces.

Tested made this fabulous set for me!!! Isn't it great?

That's assuming that anyone from McDonald's knows about all the glitches and downtimes. When they first announced the happy meal toys in the magazine I was totally into it, then I saw 109 toys in a month. Then I thought of all the new people who would obviously be at least checking the site out and thought, with all the glitches and problems already on the site that this would turn into a total mess. So in a way, it has blown up in their faces.

Considering that most of the error pages are server errors, something just either isn't working right or is being overloaded.

As Rune posted on another topic, I think the best thing to do, as much as no one including TNT wants it, is to take the site down for a day or however long it takes to get their system back on track, get the tp, auctions, bd, shops, inventory, quests, neohomes, bank, petpages (basically everything that's been glitching) working properly. Then think about adding new things.

Maybe their servers can't take the abuse from all the New Member trying to log in all at once. Or ENT couldn't take up the slack and droped the ball once again.

I'm losing faith in their ability to control the site. If they'd just hire more people....

Meh....

I go by the "too much traffic because of McDonalds and they slacked off preparing for the overload" possibility. They'll deny it.

Ah well ... gives me a reason to finish the book I'm reading, much more entertaining thn the sorrow of a Red Pteri (they really need to change the pet.)

The New Member just cracks me up! I'm sure the extra new people are not helping what was already a bad situation. Every time they add, change or move things to servers the site goes nuts and the glitches just keep coming. They dropped the ball back in April with the big security glitch. I am still amazed that the site wasn't taken down until they knew everything was fixed once and for all. Especially in light of the fact that that particular glitch happened again for a very short time.

I agree, they do need more people, and people who really know what they're doing. Along with the best hardware/software/security money can buy. I'm sure they can afford it.

And think, summer and so many people being out of school, on break or vacation is just starting. I think it's gonna be a very long frustrating summer of glitches and downtime :(

No thanks. I see a flock of them over there. *Hands out Phaser Assault Rifles* Red Pteri hunting season is now open.

I couldn't have put it better than that.[/quote]
