Opal, since my birthday is in October. It's so pretty!

I honestly have no clue, but I'm thinking it's one of the bluish colors.

Garnet. Bleh. It never matches with anything. I'd rather have diamond or something.

I'm an emerald, it goes well with my red hair.

Also, I disagree with garnet matching nothing, both of my school rings (hs and uni.) are garnet in silver colored metal and I never had a problem. I will admit that it doesn't look all that good in yellow gold.

Each month has a different "birthstone" associated with it. The list of birthstones officially recognized by the American National Jewelers Society is as follows (stones in parentheses reflect traditional birthstones not officially accepted by the society):

January: Garnet
February: Amethyst
March: Aquamarine (Bloodstone)
April: Diamond
May: Emerald
June: Pearl, Moonstone (Alexandrite)
July: Ruby
August: Peridot (Sardonyx)
September: Sapphire
October: Opal, Tourmaline
November: Yellow Topaz, Citrine
December: Topaz, Turquoise (Lapis Lazuli, Zircon)

There are also other ways to determine birth stone, but these are the ones you'll find in jewelry shops.

July birthdays are the best, everyone knows that. Hence, Ruby is the best.
