Hey I am new here. I offer this guy (I can't remember his name) 150,000 npt and a very valuable scracthcard for a Pirate Gruslen in the trading post last night. I came online this afternoon to check my status at the trading post and it said I hadn't made any offer and my money is gone. I went to see if the Pirate Gruslen was still at the trading post and it was gone. I check my items and no Pirate Gruslen. I am guessing my offer got accepted. I only hope the trades are running slow today because if I lost a Pirate Gruslen because of glitch at neopets. I am going to be Po'ed. I know 150k is only pocket change but still that was the only pirate gruslen I could fine for sale. And I didn't want to pay 225,000 npts for a pirate pet pet paint brush. I already contacted neopets about this. Has anyone have this problem? Is there anything else I can do?

Poor you! I really do feel for you! Hopefully it is just a glitch.

Errors happen relatively often. Its such a massive database, that stuff is bound to go wrong at some time or another...

We hear about the valuable stuff the most though.

Meh... I feel for ya, but it's best to just act like it never happened. That's what I've learned to do after being robbed of 600K by the hidden tower and losing my first million NP i had just earned then being frozen.

Time to get out my soapbox: I just lost 99,999 this morning when I went to buy a better than you plushie from someone--money deducted but no plushie. I was so angry that I quit Neopets--for about 5 minutes anyway. I also lost about 200K in nps in an overnight trade similar to yours about 3-4 weeks back. One of my guild members has lost two expensive trades that way and vows not to leave trades overnight anymore.

But like Tonu says, it's best to act like it never happened--or you will go crazy. The way I try to rationalize it is by saying, "Well, it evens out the elephante transmog potion I got 2 days ago for 25 nps" (yes, that did happen).

Both Tonu and I can attest to the fact that this has happened to both of us several times before--as I am sure it has happened to others. And we have stomped around angry, mad as heck--but I can only say that it is the price you pay for playing the game. I have lost about a million just in lost item glitches in the past year--yet, I am still here. So, either the game must be really good and worth losing a periodic item here or there or I must be crazy--or, I'm sure some would say, both!

And, hey, 125K isn't chump change. I just wish Neopets would realize that when we send in our report forms complaining of these glitches. The 99,999 I lost today didn't kill me. I have played long enough and play often enough to know how to make that much again. But when I think about stuff like this, I think about the poor new player who has saved for months to get 100K or the poor player who doesn't play for hours on end (like me)--that amount would wipe them out completely.

And it is unfair. If you are one of the unlucky ones who happened to press the wrong key at the wrong time--in other words, right when the system glitched up, you lose--your item is gone. Other players now have an unfair advantage because they did not lose the same amount of nps as you. TNT talks about how things are done so the game is "fair" (like can only play games 3 times a day or else it isn't fair. Creating duplicate accounts to get freebies gives a person an "unfair" advantage, etc.) Yet, they do absolutely nothing about the way their glitches skew the game.

If they can devote manpower to shifting through the emails about frozen accounts, why can't they devote manpower to researching error messages when the system glitches up and items don't go to the correct places? I mean maybe not for every jelly and piece of dung that is lost, but at least for the "good stuff!" The technology is there for them to capture these error messages, so why can't they spend some of that money they are getting from Mickey D's to fix the problem????

It's sad that so many of you have lost so many neopoints due glitches and or reasons. Thanks for the pep talk Morningstar, and everyone else. I am starting to feel better about it. I guess I better start working on getting some neopoints.

It happened to me, I just this minute Logged on didn't know They were having problems with the site, saw they rejected it, got my money back thank god, but lost my damn Fiery Spine of Death, I needed that it's my only other constant attacking weapon except my scuzzys, i'm just glad I got the money back.

Aww, Now you got me thinking back to the times when I lost 400k on a TP glitch, and when I got hacked with 1.5 million, and another TP scam that I lost 100k in...

Yup, best thing to do is try and forget about it. I really does make you sad thinking of what you lost....

Gah I'm lucky I haven't lost anything through trades yet.I knew there were glitches in it but not this many.And Neopets...I've noticed over time hasn't cared as much about it's users.I mean somebody posted that a long time ago on the Neoboards but I remember it and it's true.Ever since they've started doing stuff like the TCG cards,having electronic toys made,McDonalds,stuffed animals,the upcoming video game etc. it's kind of seemed to me they've slacked off on the site a little bit more with each thing they put out.And lots of things have gone hay-wire.Not to mention I'm not seeing progress on things they've said they were going to make,do, or fix(like many glitches).

Yeah, I'd avoid trades right now (and probably until Monday sometime when they get to the office and realize that it's yet again stealing people's items). Having not checked in here first, I just lost a blue scorchstone by offering it on a trade lot. The person whose trade I was offering on realized what happened and tried to split the value of the loss with me (her item is fine), but I'd have none of that. It certainly wasn't her fault that the site is glitchy.

Really, it could be worse. Looking at the other items in my trades, I'm very glad I only lost 160k or so worth of item.

Sorry to everyone else who's lost something here. But hey, now I can truly say that I at least partially feel your pain.

Don't ask me why but that's hilarious... reminding myself, saying I quit neopets, wasting 600k on 'leaving presents' and came back after 2 weeks. Pathetic, I'd say. And I was also hacked for 1.3m+ np.
