I hope they do revamp the Kyrii. It's an ugly pet that needs to be 'disney-fied'.

Thanks for trashing my favorite pet. I think some pets are ugly too, but I don't reply to fans of that pet's posts just to voice that opinion. Because I know what its like to have a soft spot for an unpopular pet.

I happen to like it and find it not ugly partly because its not Disneyfied and pukey-cute, but is something unique by neopets. But I'll still like it even if its revamped.

Oh, don't be sexist I know tons of girls who play with insects, and in my experience, guys are twice as likely to be terrified of rodents.

....It's thursday afternoon and mutant day isn't in the news yet. Puh! At least this means there's still time for another mutant to go up on the servers, though it always seemed like re-draw colors only get one release on themed days. It's the color fills that come in pairs...

I think all the kyrii needs is some more definition in its lower legs. They look like boneless nubs.

Yeah...notice that some "famous" kyrii in the game have legs. The Mystic has legs, the NQII kyrii have legs, as do the new unreleased pics of today. When I attempt to draw one, it has legs because its easier to draw than boneless nubs. If they just changed it to have 3 fingers and legs, and better BD poses, that would be nice!

I don't get the "disney" argument, either. It isn't like disney has a really distinct style...any realistically drawn cartoon animal is going to look that way. Being cuter doesn't really make something "disneyish"...lots of cartoons are overly cutesy, and lots of disney characters aren't. Flotsam and Jetsam are cool as hell, for instance.

Edit/ Not the neopets, the eels. Ursula's familiars, Flotsam and Jetsam. They're awesome. So are those things she turns mermaids into...I want a mutant neopet like those!

oohhh brother...I knew I shouldn't have dignified your first comment with a reply. The very word Disnification implies that it is a rip-off of something else, not an insult to Disney fans. My point is that unique is better than rip-off and most people would agree. But seeing the confusion I'll just stop saying that word here OK?

You reply to my post, an obvious kyrii nut going on about kyrii day, merely to say "they're ugly". Nobody is saying thats cruel - its just a little rude. But then you say I'm the one being offensive because I said Disnified and that I don't like the revamps in general. If that offended you, then to be fair, there's a lot of other posts on this forum that should offend you as well. Looks to me like maybe you're just egging me on, so I won't reply again. This is just fun and not something to get upset on, by any means.

And I think they need a makeover too. Well, I think all pet's before the Krawk need a makeover (well, not the ones that have gotten one recently). That leaves 30 pets that are "old-school".

I don't find the new style "cute", though. Sure, some of the pets turned out cute, but the overall style is more cartoony. I find it a lot better. It make the pets more lively.

Some pets need just a little tweek (like the Grarrl got) while others need something a little more noticeable (like what happened to the Skeith and Kougra and Lenny). I don't think any need a complete overhall like the Koi, though.

In my opinion, though, the Pteri needs the next makeover. More than the Tuskaninny. While I agree that the poor Tuskie needs something, look at the Pteri. It looks very pieced together. I've never really complained about a pet looking bad (because I probably couldn't do a better job) but the Pteri is really bad.

Moogum, I'm not "trying to make mine seem right"...I know I am a loony for my kyriiness XD Nowhere did I say their opinion was rude...thats what no-one seems to understand. It is the context in which it was posted that I think is rude, but just a little bit rude, not a major deal. Its like raining on someone's parade unecessarily, for example I would avoid doing it to someone else on their pet day no matter how I dislike the pet. Especially if its a pet like Buzz (or Kyrii) might as well let 'em enjoy it because you know they're not getting much props. I would say it maybe in another topic, but I wouldn't reply specially to them to say it. And even that is just my opinion...Ahh maybe I am just getting sensitive in my old age XD

Anyway in the Paintbrush thread someone had an idea there should be a 'Classic Paintbrush' as long as those of us who like the older style could afford it, I would love that. There are some pets I like the newer look on, and some poses I dont....etc. But, I still think that paintbrush would be cool! And involve no new pet art on TNTs part, just keep the old pics. I'm trying to imagine what the paintbrush would look like, how it would look "old-fashioned"...maybe rusty?

Edit: Oh and TNT cant make up their mind whether the plural is kyrii or kyriis, its both ways on the site, in different places. So, even I don't know!

Hm, the new Kougra keeps the odd shade of blue - a pitty, that could be improved a little, too: maybe a darker blue,with his strips in a clear colour.
On the other hand, I am waiting for the first person to have a mutant Ruki and name him "Kafka"....

I don't see how the way Ammer said it was rude. Ladyredhat said "I love the Kyrii" and Ammer replied saying "I think it's ugly". It's not "raining on her parade", it's stating one's opinion in response to someone elses...
