DICE ESCAPE GLITCH????

Tue Aug 24, 2004 9:43 am

Thank you to PPT for Dice Escape Solutions.. However, I am unable to get past LEVEL 6.. I find that when the block goes down for you to cross over, it goes down way too slow and I run out of time..

Any suggestions as to what I can do to get past this level or is this a glitch??

I'm having the exact same problem - I move as fast as I can, but that block takes ages to go down. I asked both ScottNak and iconoplast about it, and they said that they didn't have any problems like that o.O

I wonder how we are going to get past it :(

It could be your video card. If you have older video cards without 3D accelerators, you're going to have problems with this game.

so there is no way we can do this then ???
Ok, well im gonna have to do it on my home pC then.. thanks for that!

This game appears to discriminate agaisn't slow computers.

I have no problems, I've gotten all the way through to level 24. The only glitch I run across is when I play and talk to a friend through an IM program at the same time, when I click back to the game window, after responding to my friend(s), by clicking on the window header, the game ends. I use IE and I'm sure its probably an IE only glitch. I just make sure to click back to the game by using the window tabs along the start bar at the bottom of the screen.

If you're using MSN Messenger, it'd be a good idea to shut it down if your computer's too slow- everytime an alert comes up, you lose around two seconds.

Stacey said she's encountered shini's problem.
If you haven't doneso already, print out the guide so you don't have to switch between windows. (Although i never have and i use IE as well)

Also, listen to Yoshi's advice and turn off alerts for MSN, put up an away message for AIM. Nothing like a friend to kill you in a game ;)

You don't really have to switch between windows- if you've got a good eye that can tell how many steps you move, select the smallest window size (or if you're on 1024x768, Normal mode, which is meant for 800x600, will work as well) and play beside the window. Scroll down when you get the pause time after finishing a level.

Or if you've got an even better eye, paste the solutions into Microsoft Word or something and shrink the font.

Of course, this only works if you don't have the minimising-ending-game problem. ><

What I do with the Dice Escape Game...

Tue Aug 31, 2004 1:47 am

Is before I start playing the first Dice Escape game:

I make sure to delete my temporary internet files and cookies (if you have places you are automatically logged into..make sure you still know your own passwords).

If you have a McAfee Firewall running. I have mine at trusting security and I clear all entries from the inbound events.

At the place where the block goes down I am using holding the up arrow until the block goes down.

When I do get 0 points, it usually because I end up going up on space too far.

As far as I know my computer doesn't have a seperate video card and I usually get 8 points on Level 6.

I have Windows98 and use an Internet Explorer like browser. The browser I use for this game is Avant Browser Build 101.

Adding on to my previous post - when I changed computers, to my dad's new one, it worked perfectly - I managed to complete the whole game (no high scores, unfortuantely).

All I can suggest, if you can't use a different computer, is to kill every program you don't need while you're playing.
