Anyhoo, here's another idea:

The Silhouette Paint Brush.

It wouldn't even be that hard...just a plain black silhouette of the pet. No eyes, no nothing. Just black. Silhouettes are fun!

I'm not sure if it's been mentioned before, but what about a Famous Paint Brush? (gender specific of course) Meridell characters could be used in fantasic ways: Female Zafaras would become Kaylas, male Quiggles would become Morrises, male Eyries would become Kasses, female Aishas would become Lishas, male Blumaroos would become Borises, and male Lupes would become Jerans. It would be really fun to have a celebrity for a Neopet!

Picasso Paint Brush. Cubist Neopets! Heh, I'd love that.

Sick Paint Brush. OK, I can't really see this happening (too similar to Grey), but it's a fun idea nonetheless. They'd have little thermometers, a sad look on their face, and some symptoms--maybe a runny nose or some sores.

Shameron Paint Brush
Funny, this brush appears to have the letters Y&R somehow written in the paint. Wonder what'll happen if you use it...

This would be a paint brush based on the 'Shameron' plot on the Young and the Restless soap opera. When you'd paint your pet with it they would become either a Neopet version of Cameron Kirsten or Sharon Newman, depending on their gender. I'd love a paint brush like that

S'alright. I'm sure we've all made some dumb mistakes once in awhile... I know I have for sure. That is pretty cool, and the way the Aisha's ears are holding the mask on... that's hilarious!

VirtualMetal, that's a good idea, having the pet's color and stuff stay the same, just very blurry! And don't cry, I'm sure they'll create it one day... show them the boards!

I think you can get anything with a Fountain pass,by the way. Alien,Fruits,Robot,Jelly,Sponge,etc..

I'd love a Robot Paint Brush too. I love Robot Kacheeks.

But knowing TNT,they'd change the image to something else and put the older image with the new Paint Brush..like they did with the poor Christmas Chia.

Be a successful student or a magnificent teacher, with this Paint Brush!

Follow the description. If your pet's intelligence is below Master Genius, he/she will be a student. If he/shes a Master Genius or smarter, he/she will become a teacher! Gender will alter its looks.

btw, what happened to the "split" thing

to whoever said there should be a 'Classic Paintbrush': Best. idea. ever. People will never agree. Many like the revamped pets better, but long-time owners might want their pets the way they adopted them. I'm not talking all the way back to the beginning, maybe to just before the latest revamp. The paintbrush itself could have an old-fashioned look to it And they would have to draw no new art whatsoever. You'd be limited to color, though, maybe just have it a random basic color in the old design.
