I know this idea has been brought up in the past, but we thought we'd ask again. We're thinking along the idea of having a PPT Store with merchandise on something like cafepress. What we'd like are ideas/suggestions for designs and logos and such. Also what items would you be interested in?

To make it clear, nothing is set in stone, we're just looking around and thought it was time to take in ideas again.

Two questions:

1. What would the merchandise be, and how much would it cost? I might buy shirts or something if they were reasonably priced.

2. What would you do with the money?

I think it's a nice idea, but there's probably still a long way to go.

Cafepress takes a lot of money off for the amount you'd be selling. Unless you're selling in super high numbers it can be difficult to 'make' money so to speak off cafe press. For things like shirts/hats/sweatshirts you'd be better off finding a local person who can produce the products. I'd keep the idea of products small at first. Branching out too quickly can cost too much money and thusly can hurt your business. Things that you know people would buy would be best.

That being said. I think a chicken on a shirt emblazoned with "PPT" would be awesome. And I think it'd be cool if we could have some sort of logo contest so to speak.



Cost is generally determined by quality and amount. The more shirts that are made on a mass scale, generally the cheaper. The better quality the materials used (as in, silk screen with cheap ink vs silk screen with good ink vs embroidered) will be vastily different.



It would probably go to fund the site and the sites projects. All things considered the site (to me) must use up lots of money on bandwidth and whatnot.

I had some designs somewhere, it was the PPT logo, actually I showed it in one of the podcasts to the hosts, it made a really cute hoodie. And then the pic of all the mods was on mugs and mouse pads., which I'd be happy to re-draw since we have new mods, I'd just need pics of everyone. So that's like a pic of each of the admins, global mods, and mods.

That'd be a cool idea

a shirt with the 2006 collage on it?
Mass amounts of things with a PPT?
An item with Arow and PPT?

Printed coasters are pretty cool - my gran got some for my mum for christmas - they're really cool.

Put the Chicken on a tshirt, and I'd probably buy one.

Arrow hoodies.

Arrow hats.

Arrow shirts.

Arrow plush toy.

Arrow action figure.

Arrow dress-up costume.

Arrow: the boardgame.

Arrow: The movie.

(Err, this is getting out of hand.)

Oh, and a poster of the old logo with the various staff members on it. Yeah, I know most of 'em are gone, BUT I WANT MY NOSTALGIA.

In seriousness, I'm sure a lot of people would buy the stuff. Depending on the cost, I might too.
