It used to be fast, why not seek a better server?
This server is obviously too slow to handle the amount of traffic PPT gets.

It's a bit fast right now, but the main site takes along time to load.

It doesn't load slowly on my computer. It could be something in your area (if your friends that is, are there IRL). However if not, I suggest checking your computer for spyware.

It was being a little slow for me yesterday, but today it's fine.

I'm in the country with the worlds most unreliable and slow internet compared to the other OECD nations, and PPT works fine.

It varies for me jumping from fairly slow to usual speed again. Nothing wrong at my end so I guess it's just normal lag or something

Do your friends have the same internet?

If you and your friends go to certain sites together, you may get the same spyware, which could be the reason.

As for me, it's quite speedy.

Fast and fun! Spyware and lag is probably the problem, also you might be in an area where your internet is simply extremely laggy at times on certain sites *shrugs*. Any internet is tempermental.

There are many possible reasons as to why PPT loads slowly. It might be your internet connection, or as Inrun suggested, your computer may have spyware. It might just be lag time. When you are online with many other members, PPT seems prone to be a bit slower than when there are few people online. I'm no computer whiz but there are some programs which caused my computer to slow down overall - so I got rid of a lot of unnecessary ones.

I think it's just general lag, it goes slower when many members are online and at peak times etc. It's just me that uses my laptop and it's as clean as a whistle, all other sites, even NC(!) all run fine at all times, so yeah. Just general lag I think. It probably depends on how fast it normally runs for you as well, the faster it normally loads then the more you'll notice the lag I suppose.
