Everytime I log in I check the "Log me on automatically each visit" box, but it keeps logging me out, and every visit I find myself logging in and checking the box again.

Is my computer stupid, or is there something Im not getting?

That happens from time to time. Clear your cookies and temporary internet files and then try and see if it works.

Perhaps your firewall is preventing the cookie from working?

A long time ago I used to have that problem, so this may not work for you:

Go to Tools -> Internet Options -> Privacy and change the Settings. Mine are currently on Medium -- if it doesn't work perhaps try Low temporarily. For some reason they wouldn't work unless on Low, so I switched to that. After the cookie worked a few times, I went back to Medium and it was fine. :)

I used to have that problem too. Frankly, I don't know how I got rid of it.
