I don't know guys. I hear you when you say it's about popularity, it can be. However I don't detest PPTbies. And I'm not saying this because I won something, because I didn't, or because I think I'll win something this year, because I know I won't.
It was unfortunate that the last one was so long due to certain circumstances, and that those nominated didn't come to the forum by the time the voting was initiated. However, I don't see the PPTbies as the worst thing, it's just an event to participate in, a way for the forum to do something together. These things are just like highschool events. Homecoming it's just about popularity but hey I still enjoyed getting out of classes during the voting and the annoucement ceremony
.
I don't want to be the "world peace" type here, but maybe we can come up with a way to make it different. If you think it's all about being popular then vote and nominate those you think really deserve it. I think I'm just for pptbies to an extent because it's rarely that these forum events happen when we can all participate in something, and I like that. I mean, it's not like we can have "movie nights" or something in forums
.
I also don't think it's fair or nice to say it's all about popularity, a lot of those who got an award deserved it. I hate to single you out Yoshi, but I think Yoshi has talent, and I know he got some awards. He may not have been the only talented one, but if I were him or anyone else who won something for that matter, I'd feel pretty odd right now with people just calling it a popularity contest and nothing more.
