PI Applications are Open!! Deadline: March 10th!

Sun Feb 27, 2005 5:51 pm

Looking for a creative outlet?

Want your voice to be heard?

The Pink Ink, PPT's number 1(and only) Newspaper is looking for writers just like you! The search is on for writers who are willing to commit to writing 1 article per issue and have hundreds of PPTers read their work!

The writer positions currently open are:

Neopets Games Writer
Entertainment Writer
PPT Writer

Neopets Games: Wanna get the word out on how to feed florg? Reveal to others how to whack Kass those extra hundred metres? Reviewing a Neopet Game, or writing a helpful guide of the games is inclusive to every activity in Neopia, all the flash games, as well as Logic Puzzles and other game-based major events, like the TCG would need to be covered(not all at once, of course!)

Entertainment Writer: Love the latest Hilary Duff CD? Or maybe you have a complaint about crappy movies these days! Entertainment Writers are responsible for coming up with the newest CDs and giving us a sneak peak into how good they are. This section includes Sport Writers as well.

PPT Writer: PPT Writers let everyone know what's going on at PPT now over the coming weeks. This would include things like Werewolf, PPT Monopoly, and the other games at No Nutritional Value. PPT writers would generally have to focus on the PPT Forums, but this could also include reviewing things associated with other branches of the PPT Family(such as the IDB Guild Wars).

To Apply for any of these positions, please write a 1 page mock article on something relative to the section you're applying for, include up top the position you wish to fill. Keep in mind that Spelling/Grammar are a must, as well as a general idea of the overall topic. Once you've completed and FULLY EDITED your article, PM it to one of the supereditors, Spiralethe, Yoshi or myself(Xil).

The deadline for applications is March 10th, 2005.

Goodluck to all Applicants!
Pink Ink Management

Yes, but if you're accepted for one, the other is null. :)

How many times is PI posted each month, and if I get accepted, who would I mail my articles into?

Well, the PI is published every 2 weeks, so about twice a month. and if you get accepted, you write your articles in the Writer CP. When it's done you send it to the editor for them to edit. Once it's edited, the editor sends it to the supereditors who review the articles and place them into the issue. Then the issue is published and the cycle starts over again.

Writer CP = Control Panel. We get a fancy system to bre-, er, I mean send our articles in with. You get your own new username/password and a bunch of other stuff.

Would restocking guides come under games?

As long as you can be varied in your guides (featuring different subjects each time you write one, unless it's a continuation of another), restocking guides can go under games.

Id love to apply but restocking and a few games are all I'm good at :) I wrote a few guides for PPT many years ago. Should I apply? :)

If you feel that you can't submit a consistent amount of articles for each issue, perhaps you should just try submitting whenever you want (as a non-staff). :) Send an article you want published to a supereditor (Xil, SpiraLethe, or myself), and we'll give you all the details.

Well, remember. It doesn't have to be about games all the time. You could maybe do articles on speculation about up-and-coming plots or do a neoboard equivelant to "PPT'ers Say The Darndest Things".
