Its nice...

I'd like to point out a couple things I like a lot about PPT...

1. There are moderators around the clock, literally, around the clock... In the whole day there is probably only about an hour of no mods on... and that'll probably be like 3-4 AM or something...

2. Lots of members, but not too much so that PPT becomes befuddled with posts. If something new is released, you'd bet a member would find it in about 5 minutes. ;)

3. Diffrent opinnions, there are lots of diffrent opinnions about diffrent things, so we dont just see one side of the story. I.e. banner ads, or newest plots feedback

4. The fat chicken and the cute Emoticons. ;)

5. Lots of things tied in with it... Pink Ink, 2005 PPT Collage... etc.

6. A section for... well... anything

I know more, but you know how sometimes when you try to remember something, but you cant? Well... what do YOU like about PPT?

The people.

I've met a ton of awesome people through PPT, including my closest guy friend. It's got to the point where we're now sending cards to each other, etc ^_^

I first regarded PPT in a bad light. I mean, I read about all this commotion with spyware and whatnot, and decided against ever visiting the website, for fear of being caught by a 'cookie-grabber' or something like that. Stupid, I know, and naieve (sp?) for believing everything that those other neo-fansites were saying.

Then I though "Oh what the heck!" I typed in pinkpt.com and was greeted by the front page, and saw that PPT was not some kind of scam-hole as so many anti-ppters made it out to be, but rather a really involved community that revolved around many interests, but mainly Neopets. So I just clicked through and explored all the helpful pages and stories on the site.

I then decided to check out the forums, and at first was surprised that it took so long for replies (as compared to the Neoboards), and that there weren't any "BUMP" or "OMG Lyiek WTHzorz?!" posts. But it was cool. The mood here was calmer, nicer, and everyone treated each other with respect. And people didn't judge you by the strength of your pet, or how many avatars you have. It was just generally a nice and friendly environment. So I began lurking the boards, and finally decided to become a member.

And I was amazed at how nice everyone was. I didn't recieve one n0*b insult, or any criticism. That's what I like most about PPT. Everyone treats each other with respect. There may be the odd arguement and slight quarrel here and there, but hey, we're humans, it's to be expected that we'd argue over some things. But most of the arguements were in a calm and thought out manner, not just two people telling each other to "SHUT UP!" :P

I also am amazed at how really and truely involved everyone in this community is. Or most people at least. There's so many things people can participate in, and most people do. Pink Ink, Oekaki, the Games on the NNV board. It's all great. And the ability to make yourself well known within a group of people that will really care about your opinions, and will miss you if you ever leave, not just shrug you off.

So to sum it up, this is what I like about PPT

*The friendliness everyone on the boards shows
*The amount of activities everyone can participate in
*The vast an wide range of interests everyone here has
*The non-elitist attitude everyone here has
*The ability to voice your opinion here, and actually have someone care
*The amount of members keeps the boards moving, but not at lightning speed, but enough to not have to wait 2 months for a reply.
*If you ever get in trouble with a mod, they give you a full and just explanation as to why you got in trouble.
*And who can forget Arrow?

PPT is just a great place, full stop. It's just a shame that all those PPT-haters gave it such a bad name that I was afraid to visit the site. Oh well, no worries now.

So PPT... GO YOU GOOD THING! :D

That brings another point, the fact that we're a glboal community. Being from the UK myself, it's nearing 2pm here, so I can be on whereas whilst I'm sleeping, we may have the American mods online. However, this not only means that we have an efficient moderating system, but we can get a range of different views and people on the board from all over the world.

THis thread reminds of some work sheets we did in Global Studies(A program I took). It refernced that a working Global Community couldn't exist, and essentially could not exist. Funny how things are so easily prooven otherwise. :)

I like PPT cause it's in your face acton and we're waaaay more laid back than others think. Plus, the people ain't so stuck up, y'hear?

I like PPT because everyone's respectful. There're also people with every interest, and you'll always be able to find a friend. I owe PPT for some truly awesome friends that I met more than a year ago and am still in contact with.

w00t!

Slight problem with that, Ammy. I haven't found anyone who likes Denver and the Mile High Orchestra! XD I don't mind. That's what the D&MHO forum is for. =D

But, yeah. I've made tons of friends with people, and in real life, I'm pretty shy. And sometimes, I recieve PMs from people I've never talked to, but he hit it off like we'e been best friends all our lives!

The members are so random they have me laughing all day

I love PPT because of the people. If I have a problem, *BOOM* someone's there to help me. If I need a shoulder to cry on, my closer online friends will be there in a flash. There's three, I think, incredibly close friends I have, and they're amazing. Seriously- if something happen to me online, I always get an IM asking if I'm okay within thirty seconds of the incident. All of my good internet buddies were ones I met on PPT, which is why I love and treasure the forums dearly.

I love us because we're us. And it's cool, cause we can all connect, even though we're such different people. We come here for very similar reasons, mainly just so we can get away from the real world and be somewhere where no one has to see anything but what you're putting in the little text box. We've got the ability to let go (let go, just get in, oh it's so amazing *hums*) for once, and it's a brilliant feeling, and I think we all understand each other through that.

I have to agree with your yellow pasta. Hey! Did you see the banjo with the sloppy joe?

I really like how the mods aren't just here to keep us in line: they are members, not robots... :)
