Ohhh that makes sense, well i guess i must keep spending at the acadamy, i have the lab ray, but the problem is the pets that are higher in skills and what not are a poogle and a baby xweetok. So i have been zapping my other 2 pets in the hope they will gain levels and what not.
I will just keep training, what else am i gonna spend my points on i guess.
Anyways thanks for letting me know about berserk! :)

Burrow (weak) has been helping me. Then I use restore the rest of the time. It seems that if I use fierce attack or something like that, the moach hits me for much more. For ME a good defense is the best offense.

I spent a bazillion neopoints on shooting star muffins and a jade elixir and beat her on my second try.

I don't think I'll try again though.

I'm hoping TNT keeps up with one puzzle - one challenger, since my pet is tired of squashing bugs (and getting squashed :P)

I need your opinions. Out of these weapons, which ones are the most useful against the Moach?

Poison Tipped Dagger, Acara Helm, Acara Shield, Scarab Ring, Improved Lightning Beam, Obsidian Dagger, Golden Geraptiku Talisman.

I've been mostly using the Scarab Ring and Obsidian Dagger in combination, but the best result I've achieved is a draw.

you know, the shovel plus worked really well for me!!! with the amount of earth damage the moach deals out, the shovel was very helpful.

Also make sure you're not using anythign that does a lot of light damage since she has a light-reflecting item.

Heres my pet stats:

Level : 32
Health : 56 / 56
Strength : EXCELLENT (47)
Defence : EXCELLENT (43)
Move : GREAT (35)

And I beat her only with five Gold 00 Hog Battlecards and one Bombaberry Elixir.

I dont know why people are spending so much...

I finally beat the moach, yay!!! Thanks to everyones suggestions.
I just used burrow and a few shooting star muffins, those are amazing, my health points are so low i couldn't believe how much those helped.
Anyways i wish i would have listened to those suggestions earlier because i could have saved myself a fair bit of points.

It's not about defeating it once, but more than once. The more you defeat the same opponent, the harder it gets. And it's also useful to invest in multiple use weapons, since you'll want to fight more often (unless you really want to fight this one time only and never again). In the long term, those one-use items will turn out to be more expensive

Wow!

After two losses and two draws, I bought 3 shooting star muffins and defeated it. I used quiggle jump, leaf shield, storm wand, and blue scorchstone.

I'm not going to try again. I appreciate all the advice I read here.

Something I don't understand is Power. My power was down to 60% and the bug's was 100% at the end when it had lost. What does power mean, and is it something that should be improved? And how?

You use up power on special attacks. (You can get these abilities from the bottled faeries). Any attack that gives you the choice of weak, medium, or strong. Moach didn't use, or doesn't have special attacks. But--don't let your power get down to 0% or you won't be able to use ANY of your attacks (like fierce etc.)

Oh!!! I didn't know this, thank you! So we have to pay attention to the power indicator and be careful about using up the attacks. Now I also understand about the weak, medium, and strong designation. I wondered why anyone would choose anything other than strong.

Your welcome. BTW that's why I always use a weak Burrow. It seems to do just as well as strong.

Yep, it is the mamma moach protecting her eggs. Chapter 4, page 2 even mentions it. :D

Okay... its a long delay for the news to be updated for tomorrow... I'm hoping that we get a new chapter of the plot when it goes up! :)
