Thanks, theonlysaneone. Thought so, but wasn't sure.

My theory is that it only happens when you deal damage and get that "Mayor Thumburt weakens slightly, but absorbs all damage done to him!" message. So if he uses a Thyoras Tear and you deal no damage, then that won't count. Although I've seen that message pop up twice now when he's used the Thyoras Tear, so I might be wrong...

And I thought that Inflatable Balthazar doesn't add to your BD score - can't test that right now though. :p

Oh no?? I don't know if it does or not, so you're probably right! I just meant that you can pick any easy battledome opponent and beef your score up again.

Damage: 1669 HP, Damage: 53 HP
Woohoo! I did some damage, even though I got whomped. :) Right now he's @ 950193 HP, so that's good!

aw, and I thought it had something to do with how much damage we could do to him in one shot. I just reflected 12 points of darkness back at him and was feeling pretty good about the 269 hp of damage I did. :P although I guess if it worked that way the really heavy hitters would have him down in minutes instead of hours.

But the good thing is that you can use Drain Life to ensure damage through Thyoras Tear. :D That was a worthwhile 9168 NP spent on Bottled Dark Faeries.

She means Inflatable Balthazar, in case you were confused.

atm I just wanna thave this guy take a long walk offa short pier.. its so boring.. I*'ll be glad when this part of the plot is over.. its just so.. *yawn* monotonous really, well to me anyways.

Sun Nov 19, 2006 3:59 am

Well, he finally passed 900000 HP. We only have to lose a total of 900000 more times!

This is going to be slow going.

Sun Nov 19, 2006 4:19 am

I think TNT is getting bored of this plot too. The graphics of the mayor are getting worse in resolution. It least it's almost over. sort of

Sun Nov 19, 2006 4:30 am

Anyone else getting tired of losing? Seriously...who came up with this?

Gee...let's make it so they have to use all their neopoints on healing potions and they still will never win! Yeah! Good plan!

Ugh...

Sun Nov 19, 2006 4:31 am

Slow going is right. =\ I'm not 100% sure we're going to get credit for losing to this guy more than once - though I still fought repeatedly just to help get his HP down. I've half a mind to dig out my Spear of Infinite Wisdom from the LDP and see if that does anything. :P

(I know it most likely won't make a difference. That was a joke.)

Sun Nov 19, 2006 4:32 am

Actually. It's just poorly resized. :p If you follow the image url, it appears quite normal.

The first 100,000 took approximately 4.5 hours. So 9 more makes 40.5, assuming we keep the rate of damage up. :p But it'll probably take the greater part of the week. Oh well.

Heh. I still haven't run out of healing potions. Though I've only died 100 times-ish to him.

Sun Nov 19, 2006 4:58 am

So what's the cheapest healing potion in Neopia?

The Healing Springs. =P Ehehe. I'm just kidding. I have no idea what the cheapest healing potion is.

This guy is taking forever...last time I fought him (a coupla minutes ago), he was down to about 877k hp. Whoopee? I think people are tired of spending money on potions (not that I've spent any money on potions at the moment - a defeat every half hour is perfectly fine by me). For once, I wish a whole bunch of people knew what to do and would fight him (as opposed to gravedigging and grave marking...-_-).

Oh but Drain Life is such a fun skill to use. ^_^

I just don't want to sit there for half an hour to wait for the healing springs...this is getting extremely boring...
