But, does anyone get the feeling they're making this plot really easy for the kiddies because they're gearing neopets all to little kids now? No hunting around for clues, no figuring out obscure little things. Just, here's your comic, here's your puzzle. :( I don't know, but I'm getting the distinct feeling of a kid's activity book with the way the puzzles are presented.

Yes, I was thinking that too. You know, it might be a good idea for them to make the main plot pretty simple, since a lot of their "audience" IS made up of kids and early teens. Then they could have some really hard "side quests" for extra points and glory. Not just really hard battledome opponents, but wicked puzzles as well (think: lost desert plot). We're happy because of the challenge, they're happy because it's not too time consuming or complex, and I bet less people would be willing to give outright answers away if they knew they were working toward an exclusive trophy or paintbrush. Just my two cents. :)

On second thought, maybe I'll go throw that in the Neopets suggestion box... :D

Well that was kinda fun. XD I like this sort of puzzle. I like Time Tunnel, but I rarely play it because it takes too long and the NP payout isn't good. I'm not good at these puzzles, but I like them.

Or maybe they're just starting out easy to lure us in and it'll get harder as it goes. I can only hope...

I was thinking the same thing. Oh my God, does anyone remember how many of us were repeatedly bashing our heads against our keyboards last year at this time with the Altador plot? I spent an entire weekend just trying to do one step (the library with the books). Not that I miss that, thank you very much. But a compromise somewhere between that plot and this current plot would be nice.

everybody seems to be having good luck solving their puzzles but I'm not having luck because I am stuck on level two. If I don't solve level 2 puzzle I may give up trying.

Wow ... done in about 10 minutes. I'm gonna have to agree with the fact that this is kinda easy. The constellation/Altador plot is my favorite so far due to it's complexity. This plot is kinda slow so far. I do hope it picks up!

I had some problems with the third one. I hate codebreaker, for what that's worth.

Dont give up, sooner or later you will get a "easy" puzzle.

When you complete all 3 you'll be automatically redirected to a page with a picture of our main characters. By '0 in the middle', do you mean a 0 in the counter? Sounds like a glitch. Try going back to the journal and back to the puzzle, or refreshing. If you get a picture, that means you're done--if not, keep trying.

yokata... finished. I usually suck at codebreaker puzzles, but once i stopped moving ALL the pieces (just moved the top three) and went, i came to me.

I moved the top three into the first postition, then clicked the red button
*if i got a green, i left the top, and moved the next two, then clicked
*if i got nothing, i moved all three to the next position, then clicked
*if i got yellow, i would move the three to the next position, and move the fourth to the first position, then click
*if i got two greens, woot, i move the third into the next position, then tried the fourth out, then click
* if i got three greens, squee, i just went to the fourth and (if there was one) fifth, then click

Just keep going with this and sooner or later, it'll come out...remember, it's all a process of elimination, and people will get stuck and/or frustrated ( i was near crying when it started confusing me.... i'm so pathetic -_-; ). I hope this has helped ^^

May I be permitted another "D'oh" moment?

1) An island inhabited by (possibly) mutant creatures.
2) A tower-like structure with a "silvery sheen" that doesn't look like stone and a code-locked door.
3) A possible Grundo observer (those look like Grundo antennae on whatever is watching our intrepid explorers).

Is the "temple" a spaceship?

Doh! I logged off last night about five minutes before the new puzzle's release.

Managed it fairly easily though. Loads of other people have posted hints so I won't spam with my strategy unless anyone's really stuck. :)

For me, this plot has the feel of... does any of you remember Puzzle Adventure books? You followed whatever the adventure was through the pages, and on each double page was a puzzle the adventurers had to solve - a maze, a logic problem, a Where's Wally, etc. That's just how this feels... I really enjoyed those books when I was young, but for a Neopets plot I think I prefer the challenge of potion mixing-style plot steps over these short brainteasers. Previous plots had problems that you HAD to complete because they were integral to the story itself. With this plot, so far if you don't like a puzzle, you can just leave it and wait for the next one... or to put it another way, simply turn the page in the book and keep reading without actually doing the puzzle.

I like that idea! It does look like a spaceship. Maybe the radiation from the spaceship created mutant bugs? At first I was suspecting that this was going to be like the Galapagos islands... but I think the mutants may be due to radiation.
