The different actions (burn, crush, soak, dry) should change the different properties. Try different actions in the different ingredients and see how they affect the property you are working on.

Everything I do seems to just rise the conjuring power, nothing makes it go down.

Edit: I crushed some sharpgrass for 211 seconds and it made it go down two points but it made the power go down too.

Edit two: I got someone on the Neopets boards who helped me. Hopefully it works. *crosses fingers*

FINALLY finished! Wow. I feel so bad, because this is the first part of the plot where I just followed a guide and wasn't here during the whole figuring-out-ness of it.

But man, if I hadn't followed a guide, I would have been screwed. THANK YOU to everyone who figured out how to do this. It took me two days to do it WITH the guide, I imagine how hard it would have been without it.

I have a question about Step 4 if anybody could help me. It requires Spectral Essence with a specific Conjuring value. I've created Spectral Essence, but the Conjuring value is wrong. Do I need to go back and adjust the proportion of ingredients until I get the correct value of Conjuring?

21 g Bloodfern Loam - Crushed and Soaked to max
2 g Leafy Slorgblossom - Burned and Crushed to max

It's the same reagents but at different measurements then before, however you'll end up meeting the requirement for the Counjuring

Thanks Rune! I will do that.

Officer 1BDI wrote:This guide saved my life on this part, Smokytyger, so I'll post what it says concerning your composite:

Quantity: 12 grams
Relevant property: Conjuring
Target value: +80 +/- 3
Relevant property: Power
Target value: +80 +/- 3

What to do (just keep pressing wait until each one cannot be done anymore.
For example: Can't be burnt anymore, Can't be any more finely ground, and so on)

Bumroot: Burn Soak Desiccate
Leafy Slorgblossom: Burn Crush
Bagguss Pulp: Burn Crush Desiccate
Sharpgrass: Burn Soak Desiccate

It won't get you exact values, but they'll be within the accepted range. :)

thanks so much! ...next round... ^^;

I am on step two... for 3 days now... composite 1 keeps failing.
this is the composites:
Composite #1:

Quantity: 17 grams
Relevant property: Conjuring
Target value: +45 +/- 5
Composite #2:

Quantity: 25 grams
Relevant property: Power
Target value: +86 +/- 5

I am ignoring composite 2 I have created a composite using 10g and 7 grams of the same ingredient bumroot.

my composite:
Miscellaneous Composition

Quantity: 17 grams
Conjuring: +43
Power: +11

It keeps blowing up... what have I missed Ive read the threads and petpage explinations... what am I missing?

Tue Nov 14, 2006 1:53 am

blowing up?? That shouldn't be happening.

You do know that you have to make both composites before throwing them in the cauldron.

You need to create both composite 1 and composite 2 before tossing them into the pot. Are you doing that?

EDIT: Oops, unraveled beat me to it. I don't know if you have checked out the petpage for SierraSea yet, but it was the only one that was written plain enough for me to understand. No offense to anyone else who wrote guides. It's just that I am a complete ditz when it comes to science and math.

Unr4veled and Morningstar thank you so much... I must have skimmed over that part in each explination.....

Tue Nov 14, 2006 2:05 am

Ah, trust me, there is so much info to absorb that skimming over something is quite easy to do. In fact, I was stuck for several hours on just trying to create a composite. I didn't realize you needed to click on the bowl in order to combine ingredients. I was almost in tears until a guild member finally talked to me like I was a 6 year old. Click here, then click there. Hahaha. I feel so dumb now.
