There are 6 opponents. Here's a good guide that explains the caps, achievements, and what random prizes you can get for each type of bad guy (you only need to reach the cap for that on, or maybe that wave-pair, to get bonus prizes).

No plot update today.

I hope we get a reasonably tricky puzzle tomorrow -- one that takes a while to figure out, but isn't too obnoxious once you do.

Dang, really? No update till Monday? *sigh* I was hoping for something in the news today.

The lack of news update is slightly annoying, but it's ok. I'm away the weekend anyway.

This is really the first plot I ever partaken in. What usually happens after the plot is finished?

Everyone is happy and we get a trophy + site theme, then based on the amount of plot stuff we did (puzzles and battling) we get points to buy stuff.

Chapter 9 is out. Not sure what we're supposed to do here.

Read Chapter 9, then go to Brightvale and click on the 'To Meridell' sign to get to the caves and activate your next 3 achivements.

Remove all goo from the 5 neopets caught in the cave.

Never Gonna Shut You Up, Never Gonna Quiet You Down
Find someone in a tunnel, then shout at them 10 times.

For the Goo Achievement, you must remove the goo from all pets without a mistake, otherwise you need to start the whole puzzle over to get the achievement.

There is a way to work out the pattern for you (it is different for everyone).

When you find a pet, tentacles will be wrapped around it, look at the sentence and find which word (Pulse, Ripple, Undulate, Vibrate, Waver) you see, then test which limb you should move ( Left Arm, Right Arm, Left Leg, Right Leg). If you fail, it will say you were touched. Use this time to test all possibilites for your pattern.

Once you know which word goes with each limb, it will stay the same for each attempt.

When you have saved the Neopets, you will then need to make a wand from set items.

It says: "We'll need a focus, a handle, and a binding".

Focus is either the gemstone, crystal or lens.

Handle is either duster, ladle or cane.

Binding is either pipecleaners, rope or belt

Take one of each and see if it works.

I think this was quite easy when I got used to it, it simply got tedious after a while. Also, when searching the floor there is a chance of getting certain rock related items, it's a max of 3 per puzzle I think. And might I just say that is a good guide daze!
