You know what...I'm gonna cry. I can't get ONE fight in! Yet there is all these people that are getting hundereds in! I'm going to get a dinky prize while all you rich guys with ultra high stats are gonna get some uber-cool paintbrush and battle items. Yet I'm gonna get something that stinks like rocks or something. Rich owners with uber high stats and fast internet are gonna get richer and stronger while the middle-classed owners are getting zip points. I HATE WARS!!!!! I hate this lag! I hate battling! (cries in corner) :(

Suck it up, seriously. This is not a war; this is battling, and it's just part of a large plot. You've done all of the puzzle steps up to now, right, and I assume you'll go on to finish the whole plot. You will get a pretty trophy and (most likely) a bunch of plot points that you can exchange for the prize of your choice. You don't even know how much this battling is worth -- it might add just a few points to our score. Worst-case scenario is that maybe you won't be able to "buy" the top prizes, but those are usually battledome related and you're not a battler anyway, right?

This is the way it works. Some of us have sunk tons of time and millions of NP into our pet stats and battle sets. We deserve to do better than someone who's never trained and has spent less than 10k on a couple scarab rings.

i agree completely with you Cran. problem is that those people can't even get through the lag. I know i can't and I've worked hard on my pet. Dissapointing really.

This is true, Ben, but like I said elsewhere, none of the real battlers actually got to defeat the thousands of stones we could have. Sure, I might have 127 wins on the Furious Stones while others only have 25, but that's still not much of a lead -- we're all on pretty even footing, still. Besides, we all know the real points come from the hard challengers, not from the first wave. :)

(And for all the newbies, 15 difficulty is still not hard. You can catch up by fighting trees.)

Well, I have relatively fast internet and a fairly good income. . .but the truth is, no amount of money is going to buy my way through this lag. It's a shame 'cuz my pet has pretty good stats. I have to agree with Cranberry on that last part there.

Hehe that statment just made me smile. I hope you're right. I have always maxed out on all challengers in all wars even if it took ages. This is just weird and new for me not to actually max out on a challenger..But I guess you are right. the real points come much later.

Ty: I thought it would be better that way, Cody.

What kind of stats do you have? and what level are you at?
A good defence would be to use 'burrow', and that's an ability you can get at level 13, i think, with the bottled earth faeries.. Off the top of my head, it defends 97.5% of the damage from a large variety of icons.. But it's once per battle.. Hopefully that should be able to be enough to hit them with your best shot..
I've only managed to beat it a pitiful 3 times before the lag came in and put an end to my battledoming..

Otherwise, once again, Leaf shield is your friend :)
These guys seem to do a few water/earth/physical icons, which are blocked by the leaf shield..

Does "Downsize" work? Just asking to see whether that may help some people :)

Downsize is good, as it blocks 50% of the attack, though it's another one-use item..

But yeah, tactics-wise, I suggest that you get burrow or sink as an ability, and for your firt turn, use that, as well as your two most powerful weapons (I suggest maybe buying Sand snowballs, as they do 9 icons damage, but only cost 50np)
Then, use downsize or leaf shield to block the next attack, and finish them off with your other weapon slot..

Let me know if it works!

Well, as your pet is level 28, you can bless your pets by using bottled faeries on them..
(Assuming that you have no previous abilities..)
To get burrow, you need to bless your pet 4 times:
The first time you use a bottled earth faerie on them will give you 'Magic Pebbles'
2nd: 'Tough Skin'
3rd: 'Magic Berries'
4th: 'Burrow'

You won't be able to get 'sink', as it requires a minimum level of 30..

So yeah, once you bless your pet and get the 'burrow' ability, it should be in the drop-down menu during a battle, for you to select!

Ah, just to confirm, it blocks 97.5% of all Earth, Air, Water, Fire and Physical icons in one turn..

For my labray pet which has horrible defence and high strength, I just concentrate on attack weapons, scuzzys comb and a fan together can 1 hit kill any opponent below 50 difficulty :)
