Haunted Woods Plot General Discussion (Split #32)

Wow, a lot more speculating and arguing after I went to bed. I just got up to get the sidebar, and just spent 45 minutes catching up on all the various threads (and failing to procur the Deadly Dice avatar again).

I've been training for weeks in case there's a war element. I only got one point in the Meridell war, and I had to try the weakest enemy 3 times before beating him! What about people who spend their time fishing or playing lots of games? Should there be an event where you have to fish for an item? Actually, that sounds kind of fun...

I thought maybe the next wave would activate at midnight, but it doesn't appear to have (at least the TBC is still on the comic and no addition to the news). So goodnight! Has anyone less tired than me confirmed there's no other new component?

Actually I like the fishing idea. That could be a fun little minigame, or they could take the easy route and make it an irritating "random" thing...I would hope for a minigame. XD

Edit: Oh...and arguing? I don't think there was any arguing...just debate and discussion. ^-^

I suppsoe our discussion could come off as arguing to some people. Indeed, if you imagined us looking angry and etc it'd certainly seem plausible. But I felt we were quite nice, really. No blowups or anything, whoohoo.

I saw the full comic when I came on this morning so reading through the previous splits I was like "why is everyone annoyed about the comic it's awesome" lol, realised why now

I think saying that wars are unfair because you don't have good pet stats is like saying the beauty contest is unfair cause you can't draw - we're all good at different things, wars just give battlers a chance to shine...

And besides I think this plot has been pretty balanced so far, it's not a straight out war like meridell was for example.

Hi all. Long time lurker here- first post.
Just thought you would be interested in an odd error message I got when I was frantically refreshing to get the sidebar (failed- boo!). I got a 'something has haunted' message- I *think* it was a ghost meepit, but I may be wrong, and when I refreshed again I got an error message saying something like 'cannot insert bd_opponent'. I tried to take a screeny of it, but mucked it up.
Makes me think that the suppositions many posters have made regarding the wee ghosties that have been popping up in the haunted woods were right, and they are going to be our opponents.
Hope this helps- will now crawl back under my neoquest rock (I will have Ramtor's Spellbook, I will!)

Wish you luck! i got my fishing avatat like 20 more levels later, dont have much luck in neopets.

And yes, TNT sure's been more creative nowadays but the HWP is SOOO tedious. I hope that this plot wont be as boring as altador mini plot

I'm sorry; you were right, it was debate and not an argument -- I guess my word choice isn't the best when I'm half-asleep.

My highest fishing pet is at 128, and she's never caught a titanic giant squid. But my second and third highest pets both have -- it took the second one about 10 levels before catching it, and then the third one caught it one level higher than she could. So I hope you have better luck than I did. I could envision having to retrieve a plot item from the ocean, and fishing for it -- you could catch it more easily the higher your level.

I've been refreshing like mad at HW trying to get the ghost random event, but I haven't been able to. I never got it until Friday when the last new step came out; it was on the first page of HW all weekend for me, but now it's gone again. I was trying to see if the first message had changed. Munk3mark, do you know if it was the same one about disturbing the graves?

I think it would be interesting now, if we could chose who to help - Bruno or Sophie. If Bruno, we would fight monsters in the good old BD style, and if Sophie, by mixing some elixirs, spells ect. so that people with low stats could participate too. Yep, I miss war plots a lot:(

Well, after reading all the replies since I last posted, I'm really glad to see that not everyone wants a war. Most people seem to be like OMGWAR!!! and I'm like, okay I'll just go hide now. That makes me feel at least a little better that my pets fail.

By the way, CauldronCake...I love your Sophie set. Sophie is my hero. I want to be just like her when I grow up.

And don't worry about hanging around at PPT, plot or no plot! Poke around the other boards! I do it, and I do sound like a complete moron half the time! I don't think you have to worry; you sound like a very intelligent person.

I'd personaly love a war. My lab pets pretty strong, but not that strong, and it wasn't strong enough last time to fight in the Marqua War.

Then again, last war plot I was in was the Darigan vs. Meridal war (Loyal Darigan Supporter)

That's the absolute BEST idea I've ever heard!!!!! Choose who to fight with and what methods to use! Then everyone could focus on their individual talents!

Sorta a good idea...remember the Maraquan War Supporters? If they can make helping Sophie so it doesn't require over a million np to 'support' instead of battle, then it would be a good idea. I have to say this seems so far to be well-planned and the best story line of all the plots I've participated in. Practice makes perfect LOL.

I couldn't care less if this plot is as difficult as the LDP, but the prizes had better be good. I spend soooo long doing the Altador Plot and what did I get? Just another daily that gives out similar items every time! I did get a nice sidebar (which I'm going to use until a better one comes along), but I really want some valuable prizes...

Off topic: who here thinks the Yurble Janitor/Chef/Foreman is going to return in another plot?
