Don't forget! The walkthrough can be found in the sticky on the first post:

Copied for THIS portion of the plot:
9. Read chapter 6 of the comic, and we see that we didn't see what name the bone was buried under! We'll have to go back and search through all the graves. Find a gravestone that does not have a red mark on it (this means no-ones checked on it yet!) Once you have done that, COPY the information you see on the gravestone. Then, return to the caretaker and click the shelves that corresponds to your info. (They are randomly sorted by Month). Then find the name of the gravesite you found and click the name to cross it off from the book.

Note to self:
Read the surnames too. Gertrude Barton is not the same person as Gertrude Howell

sicily_sily or however you spell the name (lol sorry) asked about what was the point to marking the graves. Though I haven't received NP or item rewards for successfully marking one, I'm sure TNT will take into account how much you marked in the end when prizes are being given out. So...you want better prizes? It wouldn't hurt, then, to mark those graves!

This tells you that the grave you went to BEFORE this one was the one you marked. Hope you can find/remember that name :/
Oh, no I figure it was long gone just like the other one I took too long on. I am way too chill for this step tonight. Not in a plot rush for once. Weird. I am also going to call it a night and try tomorrow. I think people must be in a mad rush ever since one person found the bones. Someone really wants to identify the name, which is apparently the aim of this, but I just can't care much. I much preferred the 'level playing field' of other steps.

Score! Number two.
I got really lucky - heh. Two graves came up, I went to one and it was already done. Then went back, and another one was up - since all the other Neopians had gone to the other graves, that one was easy. Doesn't seem to be common, though, so I wouldn't count on going that way.
Anyone looking for graves, ehre's a hint, in case it hasn't been mentioned: Don't run around the outsides. as soon as you get there, they'll be gone. Go in the gaps, the ones in the middle take longer to go.

Huh? What's the difference?

I assume they misspelt one, and one's meant to be Batron or something.
Note to all: Whoever he was, if he's a Lupe, he wasn't in the month of Eating.
ETA: Or Swimming.

Cough. My bad. Should read 'Gertrude Barton is not the same person as Gertrud Howell'.

It is also possible to play 'where's waldo' on some of the graves.
Some marked graves go unmarked after a period of time, so if you happen to be in the right place at the right time, you could catch one of these.
Might be the best option for some slower connections; since lurkers in full graveyards seem scarce. It will just be annoying wandering and waiting.

Oooh, you know what? It would be so great if the new graveyards were just refreshed, renamed old ones. So you could sit in one, center back, and refresh until it comes around again.
(On the other hand, it wouldn't surprise me if that's how it was, and that's how people got graves in the first place.)

There are alot of times when I almost marked a grave, but was beaten by just a few milli-seconds. Sigh. How can people be SO fast?! Supersonic computers or supersonic mouse or supersonic human? Or is my computer, my mouse and I "Undersonic"...?

What works for me is this:
Refresh on the graveyard list page until a new graveyard comes up at the bottom right, click on it right away and once I'm in the graveyard, I do a '2-clicks' sequence: I first click to anywhere closest to a bunch of unmarked graves and then my second click would be to one of the unmarked graves in the bunch - if that is taken already, my experience is that I won't get another unmarked grave and so I would exit that graveyard right away and refresh on the graveyard list page again for another new graveyard to come up and then repeat my '2-clicks' sequence again...
This seems to work well and it's less discouraging (since I won't need to go through the ordeal of going around the whole graveyard only to find that all graves are marked)

Something caught my eye in one of the books and amused me.
Evidently "Will Whedon" is a pink Lenny who died on the 3rd of Sleeping in Year 8. It's not quite a match, but now I have a picture of an annoying pink Lenny in a Starfleet Ensign's uniform.
(Yeah, obviously the names are random. It's 2:00 AM here, and I'm punchy.
)

Hmph. I had a grave, and was told find to find Matthew Falkland, in the month of Gathering. So like a good little marker, I toddled off to find the correct book, and found this...
Matthew Falkland - Flotsam - Electric
Matthew Falkland - Zafara - Red
How frustrating xD It happened previously too, as I had a Willie Cutting from Swimming, and I saw another entry for him. He'd already been crossed off though - these ones are both still waiting to be crossed off x.x

I followed your advice unfortunately the whole graveyard is marked before my page finishes loading (7secs) - so I just hope I can snag one sometime *crosses fingers*
