Is anyone struggling on spectral essence? I think its the easiest of all of them, there is a definate formula.

Can someone help me with the third part? Unless I'm missing something completely obvious, I'm doing it right, but it's just not working.

What I need:

Composite #1:

Special: Spectral Essence
Quantity: 25 grams

Composite #2:

Quantity: 12 grams
Relevant property: Conjuring
Target value: +78 +/- 3
Relevant property: Enchantment
Target value: +80 +/- 3

What I used:

Spectral Essence
Quantity: 25 grams
Conjuring: +246
Divination: +49
Enchantment: +13
Power: +373

Miscellaneous Composition
Quantity: 12 grams
Conjuring: +81
Divination: +81
Enchantment: +83
Power: +6

I really can't see anything wrong, and it's failed on me twice now.

Okay...I finished the 1st and 2nd one...now's the third one...YIPPEE!!! I'm getting the hang of it, too.

Oh? Maybe you didn't stay in the maximum ingredient weight for Composite 2? The max one item can have is 3grams at that stage. If one of your ingredients is 4grams or more, it'll be wrong, I suppose.

Edit: Ahh...I can't seem to add anymore ingredients to my 11grams Miscellaneous Composition...I just need one more! 1gram more! What's going on???

Did I do something wrong trying to get spectral essence?

I took out 10g of Bloodfern, then another 10 grams. Then I took out 5g of leafyslorg. I did exactly what it told me to do with them. I don't get it! You should have seen my 2nd composition it was beautiful and took me a long time to make and now it's ruined!!!!!!!

As TNT takes the AVERAGE of the property required, my only guess is that your actual values are ABOVE the limit but can ROUND DOWN to the limit. Let's take Enchantment as an example. Your value may be 83.333333, which is over the limit, but can be rounded down to 83.

Maybe one of the ingredients is more than 3 grams, but that's kinda obvious.

If you did the Spectral Essence right, it will say Spectral Essence instead of Miscellaneous Composition

Don't round DOWN or UP, round OFF.

Also, does effect/sec vary directly with mass?

Ugg I wish I would have known that before throwing it in. For some reason I just can't get it right. How long do you have soak/crush/dessicate them? There should be 3 components right? 10, 10 and 5. What exactly do you do to each?

Bloodfern: 7g, all crush and all soak.
Bloodfern: 7g, all crush and all soak.
Bloodfern: 6g, all crush and all soak.
Leafy: 5g, all crush and all soak and all desiccate.
Clearer? Wish you luck next time! XD

Note: this is the SECOND Spectral Essence potion

Composite #2:

Special: Spectral Essence
Quantity: 23 grams
Relevant property: Conjuring
Target value: +275 +/- 1


Bloodfern Loam 7g = crush (max) + soak (max) = 300 conjuring
Bloodfern Loam 7g = crush (max) + soak (max) = 300 conjuring
Bloodfern Loam 7g = crush (max) + soak (max) = 300 conjuring
Leafy Slorgblossom 2g = burn (max) + crush (max) = 17 + dessicate to 24 conjuring

(7*300)*3 + (24*2) = 6348 then divide by 23 (grams) = 276

Note: I slightly overdid the dessication BUT the dessication was needed to bring up the Enchantment to positive value (previous Leafy Slorgblossom attempts using just [burn+crush] and [burn+crush + some soak] were not successful)

Spectral Essence

Quantity: 23 grams
Conjuring: +276
Divination: +36
Enchantment: +4
Power: +415

Ok, a question about part 2.

If i have

Composite #1:

Quantity: 15 grams
Relevant property: Conjuring
Target value: +43 +/- 5

Composite #2:

Quantity: 25 grams
Relevant property: Enchantment
Target value: +90 +/- 5

and lets say i make the 2 composites, the first has conjuring in the approximate value but has some enchantment as well and the second has 90 odd enchanment but also has some 30 conjuring values.

Does it make a difference when thrown into the pot? Will it still work or do i have to figure out a way to get the 2 composites without any extra of the other property in it. please help me if you can, i am doing this for the 4th time after having gone over in one composite or the other and if im going to start again i'd rather not lose it all because of this detail.

Like if for the first composite i get 47 conjuring, 8 enchantment. and for the second somposite i get 92 enchantment, 37 conjuring, will it be accpeted in the pot or will it not work.
