But not that screen and alot more blurry....

Wow, if it stays that way for a while, you'll have a Christmas themed computer. XD I think I'll let Souijiro help you, I'm clueless now.

Your video resolution and refresh rate are out of range. You'll need to set it lower to see the image correctly.

Now I will say the word I say the most to you.
HOW?

Right Click the Desktop > Settings. See the triangular-like bar? Slide it to the left. Going left means making the resolution lower. Understand now? Numbers will show up, like 800x600. Slide it until you see that. If that doesn't work, make it go lower, like 640x480. Did I lose you again?

I can't get to the desk top because this window that opens that says I installed windows me (I think it says that) wont close and I only see 1/8 of the screen......
Edit: New moniter don't do squat.....

If 2 monitors don't help, it must be something with the video card. I say it's fried. :/

The colour was working perfectly before I reinstalled ME.
And how do I install my new video card if I can't set it to PCI or boot it up and install?

But does anyone know how to get rid of a virus or whatever it is that keeps changing your homepage to about:blank ?

I can't even go to some sites without the page going back to that about:blank freaking page.

I've already run norton.. and adaware... they both pick it up.. I delete it every time but it's not stopping it!

So frustrating dernit :x

Are you sure it's not spyware?

First off, make sure you updated Ad-Aware's reference file. When you start up the program, there will be a link that will let you update the file. It's basically a list of all known junk so far to date. Run a scan, making sure you do a custom scan, and make sure everything is checked so Ad-Aware scans for everything. If you know how to use Hijack This, you can use that too. If your browser isn't fine after that, ask anyone here about Hijack This.

If your computer can boot to Windows, it means it can boot. To enter the BIOS, you press the Delete key (Not backspace) key at the very beginning of bootup. Repeatedly press it for good measure. If you see a menu pop up for your computer's settings, you're in the BIOS. If not, try again. I mention this again in case you're not sure you properly entered the BIOS or not. If the computer can turn on, you should be able to enter.

Many BIOS menus are different. All I can tell you to do is to browse around for options until you see something that switches between PCI and AGP. Make sure you don't change anything else other than that.

I looked for that and couldn't find it.

I think that they do. I remember that when I had to change my CMOS battery, I copied down the BIOS settings, just in case. The setting may very well be hidden somewhere.......

Your BIOS might not even have the option. You can just try attaching the monitor to the video card without having to mess with any other settings.

You told me that before.
It didn't work then.
It doesn't work now.

Let me go over this now.

Your video and sound is integrated and doesn't work, even though the correct drivers are installed (or so you say). Using a secondary video card on a PCI slot does not work either. You said you could only access the BIOS for a second, but now apparently it lasts long enough for you to change some settings. For that your computer cannot work properly because of these integrated parts, your motherboard is near its death.

Then I will have to say that your system is shorted/fried. You will have to get a new system.

It was a different menu I got into before.
People said the wrong button to get into BIOS.
