Explain to him that most viruses and spyware are designed for IE, not many (if any) are designed for alternative browsers. It is also, in my opinion, the most user-friendly and flexible browser out. Tell him that it is simple to configure to how you want it and comes with many add-ons to give you complete choice in how you want to surf the web. If all else fails then show him the nifty logo......worked for me!!:P
