I'm one of the select students that gets to work on the school website, but we're all baffled by this weird problem we have when we upload, and we're not sure who/what's to blame. Our site is fairly large, we just had to buy more space to hold everything, and we're uploading new things every day. However, about 90% of the time when we upload, the changes don't show right away. We're definitely uploading properly, but we have to check back in a day or two and sometimes the chances will show up. Other times they just never seem to go through (even though the FTP says transfer successful) and we have to reupload several days later.

It's an annoying problem especially when there are things we have to get up ASAP. Does anyone know if this is an FTP problem or a server problem or what? Has anyone experienced this before?

Are you all experiencing the problem?

Yes we all upload from one computer on the school server, and everyone who uploads gets the same problem. Sometimes when I upload from home it's immediate but sometimes it just never seems to go through even though it says transfer successful.

We used to use CoffeeCup FTP, we recently switched to SmartFTP and still experience these problems. In the last few days it hasn't been that bad but it's at random times the uploads just don't seem to show up.

Also I don't know if this is relevant but Firefox shows the updates quicker than IE usually.
