The Horse and His Boy is the best one, by far...

Woah, how long ago did I start this thread!!?? :P

Anyway, I agree with you Josephine... Susan's ending was very sad. But then again, I suppose C.S. Lewis always tried to put little 'deep' moral bits into the stories so I guess its part of that.
It didn't wreck the stories though... I suppose when you have some sadness there it makes that happy parts much nicer. :)

*raises hand*

But my very close second is The Voyage Of The Dawn Treader, mainly because I love the part where Lucy reads the Magician's Book.

Can't wait for the film.

The Chronicals of Narnia is one of the best book series ever! I read all the book when I was 11 years old and I still like reading them.

Read The lion, the witch and the wardrobe on a 3 hour bustrip from the Alps to an airport -- wasn't especially interesting. The style was pretty... different... from what I'm used to reading nowadays; it's a nice fairy tale with Christian motives and everything, but the narrator really irks me. More of a bedtime story than an exciting adventure.

I'm afraid I've missed it by a couple of years.

I've read them all... my favourite was definitely the Last Battle, closely followed by The Magician's Nephew :)
