If your into animal fantasy, then Redwall series is pretty good, I personally only recommend anyone read the first two books of the series Redwall and Mossflower. The rest of the series is rather good but I don't think any of the other books compare to those two.

*Kicks*

Read the WHOLE series.
I'm a shameless redwall fanatic. I've been reading them for about 10 years now. The Author, Brian Jacques has had some health problems in recent years, a heart attack and a stroke. But he's still great.
His other series... which names I can't remember...
Castaway of the Flying Dutchman and the Angels Command are another of his books... they're about a boy and a dog that never age... and their adventures. Really nice books those ones.

Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett are REALLY good authors - devour anything by them you can get your hands on. Patrice Kindl's book "Goose Chase" is okay, it's a tad girly, but if you like Tamora Pierce you shouldn't mind. I know you've read Dianna Wynne Jones's books, but have you read Fire and Hemlock? It's awesome. It's over 392 pages, but sadly I was so addicted I finished it in an afternoon. I'll have to get back with a bigger list, sorry - I've only been reading books about infectious diseases in history right now, and I need some Fantasy books, which I am craving. I am tired of Typhoid fever, and it's creeping me out.

I can't belive I haven't posted here...

The A Song of Ice and Fire books by George R. R. Martin are the best fantasy I've read. However, its not for everyone. I sugest you check out some spotlight amazon.com reviews before grabbing them at your libary to see if its your thing.

I enjoyed Wicked and the Abarat books are lovely.

The Dragonlance Saga is my recomendation...But there are so many books to it. I'd suggest reading the Chronicles first, Dragons of the Autumn Twilight, Dragons of the Winter Night, and Dragons of the Spring Dawning

They are all by Margerate Weis and Tracy Hickman...if you like those books then you can continue on to the Dragonlance Legends Triology and then the War of Souls Triology...though if you do...make sure to read Dragons of a Summer Flame before reading the War of Souls...it'll make more sense that way.

ANYTHING BY HILARI BELL. ABSOLUTELY ANYTHING. She's almost completely unknown, but her writing is amazing. Her characters and plots are utterly brilliant. She really, really deserves gazillions of fans, because she ROCKS. (And Tamora Pierce loves her writing, too!)

Oooh, and Victoria Hanley's The Seer and the Sword is really good, as are Nancy Springer's I am Mordred and I am Morgan le Fay.

Hmm. I need to go rifle through the rest of my books, so I can give you tons of recs. :D
