Ahh, I've read that one before. That episode was much more grosser than you described. It had to do with this man infected with the Ebola virus nearing the "climax" of the disease. At that point, his insides were all bleeding and turning into pus, his brain slowly melting inside his skull (due to some horrible way the virus attacks the cells). The worst thing was that he was still alive and breathing on a passenger flight while his insides were turning into goo. Of course, with his brain melting, he was only semi-conscious, sort of a walking zombie. Then the episode reaches its climax when a flight attendant approached him to inquire about his very unhealthy complexion (the blood must have started seeping under the skin), when blood and pus started to bursting out of all his body crevices in torrents.
Sounds like a typical episode from a graphic horror film? The most disturbing aspect is that this is not a book of fiction! In fact, it was a factual account of how this group of people tried to contain the Ebola virus. (Though my account may not be very accurate since I'm retrieving it from memory)
