The Keys to the Kingdom (Garth Nix)

Has anyone read them? As far as I know, only two are out...I own the first two, Mister Monday and Grim Tuesday...they're winderful books. Garth Nix has a way with words, he's an amazing author. I just thought I'd share may love for the books with you guys! :)

Garth Nix is excellent but I'm more addicted to his Abhorsen Trilogy. :D

I love the way he describes the use on magic in that series. It seems so much more tangible and you get a sense of the difficulty level involved then you do in other books like Harry Potter. Not to bash Harry Potter...but if you read any one of the trilogy, you know what I mean about "more tangible magic."

I couldn't put them down. :)

I got the first book. Didn't get it. o_O

I think I'll read it tomorrow. :P

I have the first two. The first one was pretty good, but i didn't really like the second one as much.

I hope the third will be better.

I recently read both books and I have to say they contain numerous very original ideas. However they contian many annoying ideas too liekt some of the random gadgets.

I like abhorsen a bit better.

I'm very fond of the Abhorsen Trilogy, and I don't think they quite measure up :P
That said, I've only read Mister Monday (by the way SIGNED COPY) (ahem) because whenever I go to get Grim Tuesday I forget what i was looking for and come out with like, 4 completely unrelated books.

I also quite like the Abhorsen trilogy (which I still need to buy...someone remind me if I tell you I'm going into town, please =P), and they definetly aren't the same. A good quick read, though...I always like to have a couple books around that I can read while I'm waiting to go somewhere (as I get ready far too early =P).

Love the series. I'm not sure whether or not I like the Abhorsen trilogy better, though. Eh. There's seven books in this series, though, so it's impossible for me to decide now. xP I do think I like the Old Kingdom better, though, at the moment...

According to GN's website, the third book (<u>Drowned Wednesday</u>) has been delayed, and will be released in the US, UK and Australia simultaneously in February '05. *Wants to read it <i>now</i>* :(

I bought and read Grim Tuesday yesterday.
Intriguing, although it seems a tad predicatable...I mean, I closed the book, and predicted what roughly would happen in each section, but hey hum, never satisfied :P
I am rather annoyed to have to wait so long for Drowned Wednesday.
