Help?

I know this isn't much to go off. This morning I woke up and something I dreamed about made me remember a part of a book I read. I think I might even own said book, but all my books are at my other house so I thought I would ask.

Does anyone know of any novels where the people in it do not harm trees??

I simply can't figure out what book its from, but I am sure that I've read a book about this. GRRR.
