Liber Chaotica Volumes 1-5 (Khorne, Slaanesh, Tzeentch, Nurgle, Undivided, in that order)

The in-character research of the Four major powers of Chaos (And the lesser powers as a whole in "Undivided").
The main problem is that the writer gets progressively... Nuts, as the essays go on, so while being pretty sane to begin with, by the time we reach Tzeentch, he's gone bat crazy and writing in code for sections of it. :D

I do love the approach though, the writer is acknowledging the plus sides of the Chaos Powers, Nurgle for example, is a being of Despair and Entropy, a bringer of pestilence and Decay, but is also a being of truest Love, he loves all of his pretties equally, from the lowliest germ to the greatest Champion.
Tzeentch, a being of corruption, manipulation and chaotic and uncontrollable change, is also a being of Hope.
As you might imagine, everyone in this setting is pretty much hosed right from the off, when the deities of Love and Hope are out to get you...

I haven't actually started them yet, but my boss just gave me:
Vaccinated: One Man's Quest to Defeat the World's Deadliest Diseases by Paul A. Offit, MD and
The Great Influenza by John M. Barry
(they're background for my project, but I've been meaning to read 'em anyway)

And my friend gave me A Short History of Ireland from the earliest times to the present day by Justin H. McCarthy (the present day being 1890) which I started in November but had to stop because of finals...

I love being able to read what I want in the summer! <3

Oryx and Crake by Margaret Atwood and The Importance of Being Earnest by Oscar Wilde. Both are lovely so far. Oryx and Crake, especially, has the kind of spiraling surrealism that I love so much. I don't often find books written in that style.

well some of us actually have other things to do, I have chores, two dogs and a horse to look after aswell as two afterschool jobs to do and an agency to keep in contact with. Plus it seriously doesn't help that I'm reading 3 books at the same time and applying for schools too.
