What are some of your favorite singers/bands that not alot of people haveheard about?

My favorite rapper right now is The Streets( i know the name is plural but it is only one singer/rapper). The Streets is a white british rapper. He's not all about beats ad half naked woman. I think he's mostly about the music. Takes about 3 listens to one of his songs bfore you can begin to really like it.

Another more known band is the hives. They are just quirky and i love quirky muscians. "walk idiot walk" is a great song.

I think The Streets are well know in the UK. And The Hives are known well in most of Europe, no offence or anything. :)

Avenged Sevenfold (or "A7X") are *fairly* unheard of, well only 3 people on here have heard of them (posted in the Aveneged Sevenfold thread I made).

[spunge] are a UK ska/punk band, amazing live and recorded.

CKY, are probably unknown, if you've only heard Flesh Into Gear or 96 QBB or Santa's coming (or another joke song, FIG and 96 aren't joke songs) then you're not really a fan. Check them out. roCK.

I love Icon & The Black Roses, if anyone here has heard of them, I'll be very surprised.

Lacuna Coil aren't very well known unfortunately. They rock.

Same goes for Nightwish, Navar, and No Comply.

yes you did. I don't have any songs by them anymore though, the ones I downloaded were samples and I can't be bother with finding full songs.

Jet ~ amazing band, saw them live back in May. such a great gig. If you don't have their album, get it. noooow.

then you should listen to ok go, if you don't already.

i don't listen to the radio or watch mtv so i have no idea if they're lesser-known or if they're breaking out or whatever, but i saw them open for they might be giants, fell in love, bought the album, and now i listen to it, honestly, almost every day.

they are a delight to listen to. fun and catchy without being too poppy.

Not too many of my real life friends have heard of the ska group "The Aquabats." :P

Then there's Frou Frou...I think that's a British duo. But they aren't all that well known in the states. You can only import their CDs. I only like one song by them "Must Be Dreaming." But I like it enough to give them a mention. :)

Tsk, shame! Thats the only thing that would draw me to listening to a rapper. Don't think I'll bother now. :P

The Hives have been around for ages, but now they're getting the recognition they deserve.

Keep a look out for My Chemical Romance, they're supposed to be about to hit here (UK) in a big way. Time will tell...

The Clarks: Been around for a while, but finally going mainstream. They have a cool official website that streams demos of their songs. Was just on David Letterman.
Hits: Hell on Wheels, Shimmy Low

Franz Ferdinad: I think this rocker might be German. Little available data.
Hits: Take me Out.

Keane: A trio of piono, lyrics, and drums. Came under VH1's radar about mid-summer. British music similar to Coldplay.
Hits: Somewhere Only We Know.

Yeah he's Scots, he's been awarded lately, so he's been all over local news.

Unless you are referring to Archduke Franz Ferdinand, Franz Ferdinand is not a "he" there is 4 of them in the group.
