The Flaming Lips did a nice cover of Gnarls Barkley's "Crazy", but I didn't really enjoy the fact that they changed the lyrics. Good music, though.

I'm currently really enjoying two covers of Rhianna's "Umbrella" by Mandy Moore and Marie Digby.

I'm not Rhianna's biggest fan (well, I love to hate her), so I never realized how insanely pretty that song can actually be. :P

Biffy Clyro did a nice cover of it- it's weird, I hate Rihanna's, but it's actually an oddly nice song...

Yeah, i love the Rihanna covers as well. when you take out the heaviness, the song becomes reallysoft and pretty

I love the Jonathan Coulton and Tori Amos covers of that song. It's a gorgeous song, but I think Cohen was a better songwriter than a singer.

On that note, Jeff Buckley's version of Hallelujah > Rufus Wainwright's. Clare Bowditch does a cover of Hallelujah that's very different-sounding (it has a lot of French horn and an extra verse that may or may not be Cohen's - he wrote a lot of extra verses to his songs) and it's flawed but I like it anyway.

Johnny Cash's covers of NIN's "Hurt" and "Personal Jesus" are awesome.

OK, I just heard a cool cover of Mrs. Robinson on the radio today. I'm not sure who it was by, but I think it might have been The Lemonheads. Any chance that anyone listens to Radio 104.5 in Philly and heard it?

The Lemonheads cover is the really well-known popular one. It's decent. That's the one on Wayne's World isn't it?
