Kids these days will listen to anything. Back in my day it was all pop, then dance music towards the early 90's. And the late 90's came the nu-metal era, then "punk" and now whatever's lurking on the scene.

You're saying the punk scene is new? Punk will be totally dead in about 2 years, as new-wave hardcore and metal are starting to takover, but punk goes back almost 40 years now.

Oh, and for the record, green day is pop-punk, and was never anything more than mediocre

They didn't change punk, but they definitly added to it.

I almost saw Iggy and the Stooges at Primavera, but Hog said it was a bad idea as Iggy might do Rude Things (TM) unsuitable for my young eyes
