I can't think of 5, but I think my favorite love songs are the Beatles' "I Will" (just such a sweet and longing little song) and also "Two of Us" (it makes me think of people who have been through a lifetime journey together).

Diana DeGarmo, Hayden Panettiere, and Avril Lavigne don't sing love songs. So I don't like love songs.

I'm not too fond of them either.

Going Away To College by Blink-182 is my favourite love song. It's one of my favourite songs anyway. Yes, I do have a lot of favourite songs, but Going Away To College is up there, right near the top. *rambling*
So...hopefully I should be able to make a list. I was never a real fan of love songs really.
1. Going Away To College - Blink-182
2. Gone Away - The Offspring
3. My Immortal - Evanescence
4. Without You I'm Nothing - Placebo
5. The Leaving Song Part 2 - AFI
Oh and With Or Without You by U2 also.

At the moment and in no particular order :
Blue October - Calling You
Jewel - Don't
Joseph Arthur - You're So True
Puffy AmiYumi - Your Love Is A Drug
Lisa Loeb - Will You Wander
Lisa Loeb - Fools Like Me
Rob D - Furious Angels
Matchbox 20 - If You're Gone
Tiziano Ferro - Perdona
Bjork - Violently Happy
Hm, not all of those are "happy love songs", but they are still about love. ;D

I tend to have a problem figuring out if a song is actually a love song or not, so if some of these aren't actually love songs, I'm really trying.
Barenaked Ladies - If I Had $1000000
Liz Phair - Why Can't I?
Michelle Branch - All You Wanted
Dashboard Confessional - Hands Down
Barenaked Ladies - Be My Yoko Ono
Yellowcard - Only One
Maroon 5 - She Will Be Loved
Sheryl Crow - It's So Easy
Something Corporate - I Want To Save You
Norah Jones - Come Away With Me

I'm more of a rock love song type of guy.

I don't have a list, but Maron 5's "She Will Be Loved" would probably be Number 1 on my list, if i had one, which I don't.

* At My Most Beautiful - R.E.M.
