OK, I've just heard the new Green Day song "American Idiot" and it is amazing. So so good.

Yesterday I was out and about giving out stickers for the Street Team and the site for it I made got sent to everyone else on the Street team (in an email. chuffed).

So what do you think of Green Day?

they're old stuff is great. their beef with nofx anoys me a bit but i do look forward to their new song on the rock against bush volume 2.

but i like their really old stuff. their new is just getting too poppy and mainstream for me.

but live at woodstock was awesome!

yes, ive heard the new song. ive also seen them live several times.

american idiot is the new song on the rock against bush vol 2 planned to hit stores aug 30th.

as for nimrod...i could have done without it. dookie, kerplunk and the live in woodstock are the cds i enjoy. those were back in their more punk-style days.

The Green Day Mailing List said that the song would be avaible to purchase online by August 10th, which is also the day that Rock Against Bush Vo. 2 with another unheard Green Day song, Fortunate Son, will be released.

it was origionally rumored to be on that cd. guess they deceided to go w something not released on the new cd. thats been the trend (new songs for the compilation.)

but none the less political rock is the way to go for this duck.

i just wish they'd stop fighting w. nofx.

they've never gotten along. they both have songs making fun of eachother. they refuse to preform in the same place too. sad really. since they wont preform w. nofx they wont preform w. rancid either (rancid and nofx are like married i sware).

American Idiot is an ok song, nothing revolutinary, Green Day is ok, nothing great though, there no Smashing Pumpkins.
