Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix

Now that the 4th film has been shown in the cinema (still showing) the writers are very busy making a 5th movie.

Here's what we know about the current cast:

Daniel Radcliffe will stay Harry Potter
Emma Watsom will stay Hermoine Granger
Rupert Grint will stay Ron Weasley
Jason Isaacs will stay Lucius Malfoy
Ralph Fiennes will stay Voldemort
Umbridge will be played by Imelda Staunton
Julie Walters will also return as Mrs Weasley
The rest of the cast will be announced in Januari/Februari

Latest news is that Hagrid might not return in this movie. Which means... No Hagrid, no Grawp... which I'd really dislike...

Can't wait to see how they make the Ministry of Magic look like

EDIT: Oh yes, it's also been announced that the actors for young James, young Lily, young Sirius and young Snape have been cast, together with Luna and Tonks.

But I feel sorry for the actress of Cho Chang, she'll get even more jealous comments because in this film, she gets to kiss Harry Potter o_O

Well actually, the producer (David Heyman) said that Grawp is definitely IN the movie. They are working on sketches of him and he will be entirely CGI.

Imelda Staunton as Umbridge? Oh, she'll be perfect!

I'm dying to find out who plays Tonks, Luna, and Bellatrix. I love the three of them. Oh, and Zach Smith. I adore him; hope they don't cut the character, especially since it looks like he's going to be important in the 7th book.

I hope Laura Fraser plays Tonks, though. She's very close to my mental image of the character.

I've got high hopes for this movie. I'm a big fan of Michael Goldberg's scripts.

Oooooo I'm still getting over the 4th movie ^_^

I can't wait to hate Umbridge! I mean that in a good way of course, she's a character you love to hate

I hope this movie kinda goes back to the way the first couple movies were and minus some of the innuendo

All in all it should be good, wonder when it will be release, late next year, hmm, or maybe spring 2007?

Summer of 2007 it seems, filming starts Februari 2006

IMDb is filled with people claiming they've been cast for Luna Lovegood... :roll:

Why that's impossible

I've been cast for Luna Lovegood

Just because I live in Canada and don't have a British Accent and I've never met any of the actors or directors...means nothing

Ack, what do they mean, Rita Skeeter may not return?! I think one of the bad points about the fourth film was that her role stayed kind of unfinished, she spoke to Harry about twice and then disappeared, it felt kinda...blah. :roll:

But yeah, Luna Lovegood, down to five hopefuls...one of them is a girl from my school, I think!

Well, since they took the blackmail plot out of GoF, they could just have Hermione ask Luna to do the interview herself. It would make a lot more sense in the context of the films if Rita wasn't there. But then, the filmmakers have never been that concerned about continuity or making sense.

Really? Cool! Does she look like your mental image of Luna? Is she a good actress, or do you know?

Of course, I've been all but cast for Luna Lovegood. They've still got that one other girl in consideration, but they think they want to go with a brunette from the American south for this role. I'm sooooo in.

Also, I'm gonna get angry if this movie only has 1 quidditch scene, I mean, there's the practice and the fight with Malfoy and also the one where Harry was already banned

Let's guess which one'll come first

Really? Where'd you hear that? It seems like they'd have gotten more of the preproduction stuff set up for movie 6 if they were going to film it right after 5.

Eh, they probably will cut most of the Quidditch. Can't say I'm that bothered by it. It's not really that important. Although I hope they don't cut the fight. Though, they've been hacking away at everything that makes the designated heroes look bad, so they unfortunately might.

Movie 5 will definitely come out first, but Book 7 will probably come out a few months before Movie 6. Just a guess.

Well, she's an okay actress, but not at all my mental image of Luna. There's this other girl in the year above her though that has exactly the same personality as Luna, but she doesn't act, she's just like that
