So... Seth also won't be voicing characters?

Oh god.

*face palm* I wonder if this will get it cancelled... AGAIN.

I'm sure they're only releasing episodes that he has already recorded the voices for.

Frankly I'm not sure why the studios are putting up with this crap. If I ran a company and my workers started striking, they'd be gone. Granted, it's harder to replace writers than it is to replace laborers, but I would do my best to continue without them until they decided to come back. It seems like Fox is doing that, and I don't blame them in the least.

Fox is trying to do it, but it's going to fail miserably.

Creating episodes without core characters and the main team of writers can seriously affect the quality of the show. And as Setekh said, you'll be sued by these union workers and will most likely lose which would cause a serious budget deficit in the studios. That's why the studios are putting up with this "crap".

As for Family Guy, the episodes going into production are WITHOUT Seth's input, therefore I doubt he is voicing any of the characters.

Without his final directorial input, but I think he has the voices already recorded. It's only the next three episodes, and it takes about 8 months to make an episode of an animated show from start to finish. I'm watching one right now, and it's definitely Seth.

I also find it hard to believe that workers can go months on end without coming to work and the employer can be sued for firing them. That's an idiotic law if it exists.

It's a perfectly reasonable law to prevent Employee abuse.
They are not being given the Wages they deserve, if you fired someone every time they went on strike over it the UK would have no postal service, teachers or Firemen.
Why?
Because no one would work for sub par wages.

Wait, in the UK firemen are allowed to go on strike? You guys have some serious problems with your labor laws. In the US they would not only be fired, but (correct me if I'm wrong) they could possibly go to jail for putting people's lives in danger.

Seeing as they get paid next to nothing, yes, they are allowed to strike.
course, we have the army and those horrible green things to make up for them not working.
And no... They work quite well actually.

That's because the new episodes haven't aired yet.

And on a modly note, both of you have begun to debate and I'd appreciate it if you would move the discussion into the Debate board rather than on this thread. Thank you :)
