Lol. That really will haunt her.

Yes. Performing "live" at the Radio Music Awards.

And seriously, where have you been? We've missed you. NOW MAKE THAT GAME!!!!

Just kidding. The game doesn't matter. All tha6 matters is that you're here and here to stay. *Chains Jim to his computer and Chromey to Jim*

I'd hate to be her right now. If she really wants to backup her statement about singing her 'true' talent, she should sing live at the Raide Music Awards even if she's worn out. This will bound to clear up everyone saying she lypsync's all the time.

Did she lypsync at the Teen Choice Awards? I thought she did.

I dont understand whats so rude about it? Were just telling the truth. Saying she can't sing doesnt mean I'm being rude I'm just stating a fact.

Its not a fact, it is an opinion.

Its rude because its being stated in a way that could offend people. I'm not saying you have to run around going,"ASHLEE IS SOOOOOO COOOOOOOOOOL!" but you could say you don't like her in a polite and respectful manner such as,"In my opinion, I really don't think she can sing that good, but that's me."

If you say,"Ashlee sucks." you are bound to upset someone, one way or another. And in the end, it hurts people. Its not fun to be hurt. *nod*

Oh the horror! How could she, really?

I'm not shocked at all.

She's not the first person to lipsync on SNL, and she won't be the last. She just happened to get caught. I meant to watch SNL, and I had been planning too (not for her, but for Jude Law, he is yummy), but I totally forgot to watch it, and I was hitting myself as soon as I realized (15 minutes after it went off).

I can almost always tell when a singer is lipsynching. Live music sounds different from prerecorded music (canned music =P), and that's the whole point of it. It's less work for the singer, but it leaves a disappointed feeling for the fans. These are also singers that lipsynch at their own concerts. So fans pay good money to listen to music they've already heard being played, while the singer lipsynchs and dances.

One funny thing. I like Britney Spears just a little. And my brother's a big fan. He was showing me a 'live' performance of Toxic, and I couldn't help but crack up. Britney always lipsynchs, and what I found funny, was that during Toxic, at the beginning of the chorus somewhere toward the latter part of the song, her voice is distorted. It sounds good on the album, but on stage, when she's pretending to be live, she has to make up for that somehow. So in her performance, a screen is placed between her mouth and the microphone. Which is just silly.

What's funny is that I saw that on the "I Love the 90s" thing on VH1 the other day... and totally pictured it with the dancing. Beautiful.

Anyway, http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=s ... ee_simpson <-- yahoo news. Her dad says that her vocal cords were affected by acid reflux, thus the backup track. I just laugh.

"Just like any artist in America, she has a backing track that she pushes so you don't have to hear her croak through a song on national television," Joe Simpson told Ryan Seacrest on Los Angeles radio station KIIS-FM. "No one wants to hear that."

Of course, and that's why singers actually learned how to sing before getting on a stage..

Talent? Who needs that? Just slap on some instant tanner and get some plastic surgery and you'll be famous in no time!

Yeah, just like Britney's overnight 3-cup spurt. ;)

So funny. I have no pity. At all.

Ok, so now she's saying she lost her voice due to a medical condition? I think I'm going to be sick.

And to be fair to Ashlee there was one incident where she did not lip-synch on a TV performance. I was unlucky enough to be watching the Tonight Show with Jay Leno on the night that Ashlee had her debut TV performance. She sang "Pieces of Me" and it definitely wasn't lip-synched because not one note was in tune and her voice was incredibly hoarse and unpleasant. She just couldn't make all of her "oooh's" the same pitch.

Tsk tsk. :P

You can make all the excuses you want on how it messed up, but that doesn't change the fact that it was screwed up. The fact that so many people are giving so many stories on why it occured it makes all of them lose credibility.

I admit I found it amusing when I finally saw the clip.

I saw her not lip synching when she sang "Pieces of Me" on Ryan Seacrest's show. It was really, really bad. So yes. There's another "credit" to her.

Oh. I can't watch the Radio Music Awards, so if anyone watches it, want to tell me what happened with her?

ROFL!!! :roflol:

That was hilarious. That dance would have to be the most bizarre thing I have ever seen. And believe me, I've seen a lot of strange stuff.

Well, at least she tried to be cool about the whole thing (from what i saw). Gotta give credit for that.
