I already got my hands on it, in my opinion, its good. I love the music, but i kinda don't like their image.

Impartial. I don't care much for the music. I don't like it much...but I catch myself hearing it in my mind for a second.

I do not like this band, there image is way over the top, and stretched the punk style to its absoloute limits to the point where they just look like rediculous halloween clowns. And there music is so bland, and so preachy to add.

Everywhere I go, everyone I meet
Everytime I try to fall in love
They all wanna know why I'm so broken
Why am I so cold?
Why I'm so hard inside?
Why am I scared? what am I afraid of?
I don't even know
This story never had an end
I've been waiting, I've been searching
I've been hoping
I've been dreaming you would come back
But I know the ending of this story
You're never coming back, never, never....

Can't get more cliche than that. They're right- it's Predictable.

As for their "moral" song, Hold On, who remembers what song came a few AFTER that on the album?

One day I woke up
I woke up knowing
Today is the day
I will die

Cashdogg was barking
Went to the park and enjoyed it one last time
I called my mother, told her I loved her
And I begged her not to cry

I wrote a letter
I said I'd miss her
And I signed that Goodbye

[Chorus:]
You know the happiest day of my life
I swear the happiest day of my life
Is the day that I die
Can you feel the cold tonight (the day that I die)
It sets in, but it's alright (the day that I die)
The darkness falls, I'm letting go (the day that I die)
All alone but I feel fine (the day that I die)

We took a drive and we drove to D.C.
To see the places we live
Our conversations we talked of old friends
And all the things that we did

Summer nights
Drunken fights
Mistakes we made
Did we live it right

[Chorus:]
You know the happiest day of my life
I swear the happiest day of my life
Is the day that I die
Can you feel the cold tonight (the day that I die)
It sets in, but it's alright (the day that I die)
The darkness falls, I'm letting go (the day that I die)
All alone but I feel just fine (the day that I die)

[Chorus:]
You know the happiest day of my life
I know the happiest day of my life
I swear the happiest day of my life
I know the happiest day of my life
Is the day that I die
Can you feel the cold tonight (the day that I die)
It's thin air but that's alright (the day that I die)
The darkness falls, I'll let it go (the day that I die)
All alone but I feel fine (the day that I die)

Did I live it right, I hope I lived it right (the day that I die)
Did I live it right, I know I lived it right (the day that I die)
Did I live it right, I hope I lived it right (the day that I die)

Yes, they're really trying to stop people from suicide.

I don't think that they've done anything original... from their songs to their videos to their image, it's all very derivative. I normally wouldn't call myself a hater of any particular band, but this one... I think as long as bands like this are getting record deals, there won't be room for good, original bands to get heard.

Not trying to irk anyone here, but I absolutely cannot STAND Good Charlotte. Lots of the so called 'goths' like them and think it's rock. Well, at least in my opinion, 'GC' is not rock at all. It's just a deviation of POP music. Yes, pop. In my mind, 'GC' is in the leagues with NSYNC, Britney Spears, and others of the like. Just because they like to wear black and goths tend to love them does not mean they are rock.

Well if you like good charlotte or not they have never claimed to be rock or goth.
It's not thier fault if other people label them. The same as a lot of bands I like it's the media that give them the label not them.

Yeah, it does suck. A lot. Their poster got taken off my wall, they don't deserve to be on my wall of greatness anymore. :P

No one can try and stop people from commiting suicide so what's your point? They're letting people know they're not alone, as in other people have wanted to commit suicide as well.

Can't stand them, so I'm definately a hater. I can't bear emo, it's just so squeaky and whiney. Urgh...

Sun Nov 07, 2004 11:06 pm

I'm kinda undecided. I'm not a big fan of Girls and Boys, but I love Hold On.

gc is good I like the song hold on thats my fav

They have some good songs, but there's more that I don't like. The songs that I do like, such as "Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous" aren't anywhere near my favorites list though... so I don't love them. I pretty much just don't know.
